Psych Meds - They're a meme

I'm a schizo.
You need to take your medicine.

I don't have the free time to sit around and suffer side effects from their med cocktails. They already changed it once and every time they change it they're like "Wait a month and come back" and I'm meant to suffer for a month. Then I come back and it's "Try waiting 3 months"
They can cycle your meds more quickly if you go inpatient. However it's expensive, somewhat unpleasant, and might require you to be a danger to yourself or others.

You're going to need to quit all your medications without telling your doctor. You may not sleep for many days at a time, so try to take some time off from work before you do this. I quit all my meds, and now I no longer stink of sulfur and I'm not sweating through t-shirts and ruining them. These psych meds disupt the body and cause rank BO as well as general fog and disconnection from life. They make the medication-takers stinky, slow, and sick.

What are called "side effects" of medication such as losing your hair, getting fat, having a heart attack, and dying are not actually "side effects." Rather, these are the symptoms of long-term poisoning.

The problem with the vast majority of psych drugs is that they don't do anything,
The side effects are making me worse than when I started

No.

I don't have the money
What about schizophrenia?
Meds actually help with that, make it possible to live a life.
I think it depends on how much positive symptoms you have. I have a strong delusion but not much hallucinations and lots of negative symptoms. The meds are great at getting rid of positive effects like the consuming thoughts that one must sacrifice themselves or some shit like that but it's bad at helping one with how uncanny they are in person
You finally admit the truth.
I'm not gay but I love my boyfriend. He's always there for me

AFAIK clozapine is the only thing well-studied that reduces negative affect but it has a bunch of nasty side effects that could possibly kill you.

KarXT came out recently which is promising but it's expensive af

I really do feel for you, OP. I personally knew a guy who went on schizo meds and he fucking hated it.

He DID kill himself once he got off them though, which was incredibly sad. So don't do that.
He was abusing weed with schizoness which sounds like a really, really bad combo. Probably made it worse.

I know of another person that swore they cured their schizophrenia with a hardcore, strictly regimented keto diet. I'm not schizo so I have zero first hand experience... but this person is med free for like a year now and claims they have no sign of their delusions. However, I'm cautiously optimistic about it, because I know thinking you're cured can be part of the whole schizo thing.

That mf 100% lying. I'm pretty sure they reached the state where their delusion is now normal to them and thus they feel like they're no longer deluded.

I'm now 48hr off meds and my physical health improves so much it's insane. I can eat again, I'm no longer passing out for most of the day, etc etc. It's crazy they're giving these pills out like candy
