Community Munchausen's by Internet (Malingerers, Munchies, Spoonies, etc) - Feigning Illnesses for Attention

I thought you all would thoroughly enjoy this thread. Little munchy glimpses all over, and some very tired medfags deflecting them.

My sides.

My favorite:

Gods yes. The number of patients I've had complain "you didn't DO anything for me!?!!!!" Because we didn't diagnose the exact cause of their bellyache, after an IV, fluids, meds, labs, and a CT scan... Ma'am this is a Wendy's, not House MD. I ruled out an emergency and fixed your pain, I'm sorry I can't tell you exactly which thing you ate that made your gi tract upset, I am not an oracle.

@Zemblan Physics thank you for this gift! What a fucking train wreck. I love how the first thing she is dx’d with is Hypersomnia 😆 Now, I completely respect people who have had the full two day sleep study including a MSLT because the tests are pretty black and white for Hypersomnia. Untreated it can be a bitch but it can very easily be treated with sleep hygiene and daily modafanil. No big deal. No wonder she had to make up whatever the fuck “compromised autoimmunity” is and commit to a super cereal “structured, multi-year approach”.

I also love that all the pics are of her as a little girl to elicit sympathy and not of the weird looking land whale she has become. Someone with actual problems with their spine probably isn’t doing back bends in their wheelchair cosplay.

I couldn’t at you Leprosy but thank you also for this. I mean the name on the department should have been the first clue for these malingerers - EMERGENCY. It’s no surprise that these poor ED docs are telling them that your 50 years of mystery illness that hasn’t killed you yet isn’t going to kill you today so get the fuck out of my triage queue so that I can treat real patients.

It also amazes me that all these super for realsies chronic illness whiners say that the only time they go to the ED is when a specialist has said that they need to go. If their specialist thought they needed medical care, they would get them admitted to a ward. Or get them an urgent appointment at their clinic the next day. If their specialist genuinely needed them to go to the ED, they’d get a doctor’s letter or fast pass arranged or ring ahead and send over notes or records. It’s so easy to lie and say “oh my specialist wanted me to come” as if that gives them a free pass.

The ones who say, “the doctors said there is nothing more they can do for me” make it sound like they’ve got a terminal disease, it is just infuriating. I wish they would go visit a cancer ward, or a PICU, or meet someone with ALS and I’d like to think it would shut them the fuck up but they’d only look at other people truly suffering and think “woe is me” or worse, get ideas on more symptoms to fake.

We need a special clinic for everyone with EDS/POTS/MCAS where it is all actors paid to pretend to be medical professionals and they can come in and get attention and asspats and pretend IVs and the rest of us can be saved from their incessant whining.

ETA and avoid double posting @Greedy Fly i took a closer look at the user you screenshotted (comment has now been deleted of course) and she is a fucking trainwreck. No wonder doctors won’t take her seriously. She was diagnosed by a TELEHEALTH NEUROLOGIST 😂😂😂

gibs pls

She's an e-begger that was discovered in the Vicky Markhoff thread, who seems like she has fantastic potential for lolcow munching. She is, of course, a disability activist and awareness-raiser.

Today I bring you some tidbits.

Hannah was disabled by long COVID back in 2020. She has The Usual, with a smattering of à la carte delicacies to round off her meal. Long COVID, epilepsy, POTS, Hashimoto's, chronic fatigue syndrome. Before (and after) physical disability, she enjoyed her mental illnesses, including borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, and "OCD & co," whatever the fuck that means.

1000032467.webp

Luckily her Care Team™️'s attempts at treating her BPD haven't stopped her from constantly injuring herself for attention, blaming it on her need to always stand next to a fainting couch. To further not farm attention, she takes pictures of her injuries and puts them publicly online.

1000032459.webp

She has posted her medical records to substantiate her (many) disabilities, since medical records are infallible and there is no mental rush that BPD munchies get by posting their records. I can't be arsed to look them up right now. Mostly because Hannah would like you to know we don't HAVE to see her records for her to be valid!! That's why she pinned them at the top of her TikTok page.

1000032448.webp

She has an etsy store, and uses AI images. Then she posts saying she doesn't use AI images and throws the illustrator (whom she purchased the license from) under the bus.

1000032452.webp

She needs you to help her doctors fix her face. All I did was search her profile for "gofundme" because I knew she'd have one, and I knew she'd overshare on it. Y'all have taught me well.

And the main course: the story of her being fired from her doctor's office. I'm sure this is the first time ever our polite BPDemon has been suspected of abusing meds. She wrote a scathing review.

Other fun stuff: Apparently there's some jostling and ruffled feathers in the pecking order of who's more oppressed. ME/CFS or long COVID? Why does it matter? Battle it out online! No better way to spend your disabled days! Behold... activism.

That's all for now. I have not yet archived everything, specifically her instagram, if someone wants to do that. Mobilefags gonna mobilefag. That said, she seems most active on twitter, in the group of munchies that weren't cool enough to migrate to BlueSky (I'm assuming because everyone who moved to BlueSky already knows them as munchie grifters)

I feel like there are so many munchies with ties to Seattle. What is going on over there?
It’s UW. I had to go there a few times, but it just didn’t do for me what it does for these people. You also have rampant narcissism and drug seeking, so this means you shall require special symptoms in search of a “diagnosis.” The mental health system is FUBAR and run by extreme Leftists. Plus, there’s a lot of rain, so they stay online all day.

"As soon as I realized the pharmacy was at fault..." is absolutely amazing.
So the pharmacy told her one of her refills was missing, she then bothered them over a week and even send her boyfriend in. Then she realized it's the wrong doctor and it's the pharmacists fault?! I'm sure Leslie is the real villain here. She could have had baked goods, but she was just too evil!
"...I loved Jackie [her doctor] and never want to seem like a bad person" is also really telling. Maybe that was just a good excuse to drop her. Or she went waaaaay crazier than she's telling us.

The coping, seething, and dilating is underway on Hannah Johnson / SpoonfulofHan's twitter. She realized feeding the trolls is what makes them keep coming back.

Some lolcows in the making here. Boys, we're gonna feast well tonight!

1000032600.webp

She doesn't understand how many people are making fun of her in the comments.

It's funny how many people assume everyone on kiwifarms is aYbLe-bAwDiEd. Isn't that ableist??? Sometimes a crab just climbs out of a bucket and finds a fruit tree grove in a better place. But to assume that would be giving too much personal autonomy to the cripples, so nevermind. Also, I don't think BPDemons can actually learn to sit with dialectics in their brain. Bummer.

She tweeted something saying no one wants to be disabled. This was Big Bad and offended The Disabled Of Twitter. She pulled the AUTISM reverse card and hopes that absolves her of her sin. Maybe she's exhausted all the time because of the mental gymnastics it takes to be part of her (very conditional) community?

More crazy, per our girl. Does she know lamictal comes in 50 mg..? According to her she's been on 25 mg ("x4") a day for a year. So long that she forgot who prescribed it (see prior temper tantrum that got her fired from her PCP). I bet her psych wants to crank that shit up to 300 lol. As a bystander, *I* can see she needs way the fuck more than she's getting. And it's not for the seizures...

Edit: gibs update, so far zero takers

I don't think she's being honest about the lamotrigine either. Sorry, lamictal. Brand name only in this house. As far as I know, 25mg × 4 a day is a very odd dosage scheme, but I guess you have to be special somehow on such a commonly prescribed drug. It's just such a boring thing to play special about.

Amongst people with epilepsy it's generally well tolerated, so it's a first line treatment though SJS/DRESS (skin falls off reactions) is a serious concern if you fuck with your dosages, and they sew your eyes shut to save your sight there, so... FAFO, I guess.

I take lamotrigine for epilepsy (don't do drugs, kids). Unfortunately every antiepileptic has some bad side effects, including ones you're guaranteed to get. The little kids on high doses of fucking everything break my heart and I'm not that much of a touchy-feely-guy, because the drugs basically lobotomise you at a high enough dose, and you get to a point with intractable epilepsy where you have to just keep piling tablets on and keep watching the kids get slower and more tired and more withdrawn, or pray hacking up their brains does something, anything. With lamotrigine, which is piss-easy compared to a lot of AEDs, since the dosage for epilepsy is high, you get the mood stabilising effect as a net positive anyways. It's like a little bonus.

I've never met a munchie who could actually spell lamotrigine (or levetiracetam, for that matter), so it's always brand names for them! (Never capitalized, of course, that would mean they know the difference between the brand and generic). Same with every TCA they're somehow always on.

I think Hannah is my new favorite pet munchie.

What's remaining unsaid here is just how many of the Properly Disabled people of twitter apparently go on this nazi-filled, disability-bashing hate site. Do they know they're actively contributing to their own literal genocide by giving Kiwi Farms views? They all admitted to coming on here lol, that one person even posted a screenshot.

A real Disabled™️ would never.

My OCD makes me not want to take my medicine is gold star munchie behavior. I'm sure she was really proud when she came up with that one.
She pulled the AUTISM reverse card and hopes that absolves her of her sin.
Ahhhh there it is! I was really confused, that she was an old school openly BPD person and didn't claim autism.
Guess someone should take one for the team and look at the paperwork on tiktok. If I understand correctly, she claims to be ALL paperwork.
I bet her psych wants to crank that shit up to 300 lol. As a bystander, *I* can see she needs way the fuck more than she's getting. And it's not for the seizures lol
Does it only work for bipolar? Because the only thing I wouldn't question, would be her BPD.

Edit: I thought her records are on tiktok, but all I can see is endless BPD/invisible illness sperging. Her graphic doesn't even include autism, but there is a 3 day old comment asking "and autism?" And her just answering "yep". So it's either new, or she doesn't want to much attention on it yet. Maybe she's still missing the "diagnosis" for that.
It's really funny how unserious most of her claims are, while being this dramatic.
