I've had it open for an hour before with less than 5 messages written. I don't believe this is possible without botting, or explicit instructions from Mald or the tranny to have the stream open even if you are not watching.
Some people just have it as background noise/second monitor video. Channels like Yogscast also have a cinema mode where people just watch video's together, 300 viewers or so regularly, 2-3 chatters usually. It's not like the stream is doing anything worthwhile, it's just ferrets.

He's also banned a large number of his regular viewers from posting in chat and, being good cultists, they're still going to stick around and watch the Maximum Leader's stream. I imagine a sizeable number are also staying out of chat until the Dear Leader's mood improves so they won't catch a ban.

Very :optimistic: of you to think he has one :lossmanjack:
Here's how Mald (according to Mald) goes about costructing his Ferretschwitz-2:

This is lifted from a Maldstream where he "designs a ferret """rescue""" building". The whole segment is roughly an hour and 20 minutes, which is too much Mald for me (or anyone, really) to handle, but I'm sure there are some (mana)gems hidden in there.

This channel currently has 1200 viewers and it's a black and white basically static image of cages, just makes no sense if the ferretfuckers have not been explicitly instructed to have the stream open 24/7, which is definitely a violation of the ToS.

Paint, why is it always fucking Paint. You're making a building, use Tindercad or at least something, why the fuck are you using Paint. Square-tool, text and brush fucking Paint. At least make your fucking doodles like an actual structural blueprint? What the fuck is a top-down view going to do? Can't you hire someone along with the other 17 homeless people you endowed with your presence? Cripplingly retarded behavior.

I ain't denying it. :gunt:

So, full disclosure - I'm an animal lover, and I do actually like ferrets, but the whole ferret shelter thing feels so manipulative.

Like, its being paraded around as "Im a quirky, wholesome chungus because of le ferrets" kind of thing, and people latch on to it because ferrets are a relatively obscure pet.

The only valid concern about the movement is Software Licensing. Casey Muratori has commented on this when the movement started, and if we ignore his lolbertarian way of thinking, his only problem with the movement is that, licenses.
The only way for his concerns to be valid it would require for SKG to work retroactively. It won't. There will be a grace period.
It solves all "reasonable complains" because new games will have to be designed with this in mind.
It's that simple.

SKG, Mald, and the leftist infighting, might be the broadest and deepest lolcow the internet's yet seen, and they all have no idea they're in it. Mald as a solo lolcow is one thing, and very funny, but none of this would have been known without SKG. From what I've read, nobody has noted that everyone involved with the outrage, including Mald, is a liberal; they all ultimately agree "corporations bad" and they all moralize their video game stances, neither of which are the default.

All this started from a lame Ubisoft racing game which already had a sequel. The Crew was bad, and 10 years for a game less than 10 people were playing at its closure is actually pretty good for how aggressive car licensing is.

I wonder as I type this... if it makes more sense to understand this broader social thing, not as anything about the game(s) itself, but as MATI gamer liberals finally reaching a breaking point. Would explain Battlebit and LC, maybe even HD2, as previews of this.

I hope this goes on for as long as possible, this is a goldmine. Hopefully there's a sequel when the initiative dies.

there was not too long ago a debate about troons getting their shit removed from online stores because some boomer australian group pushed payment processors to pressure stores

this has to do with the recent thing on steam with aduklt games being removed from the store

the community was arguing against it cos of course some troons that published rape erotica got hit by it and now the evil corpos cant intervene grrr fight back against the system and eat the rich

but obviously if the ferret fucker says skg is bad skg is bad praise the corpos for protecting their right to destroy videogames

his community is something beyond retarded and seeing this dichotomy is fucking hilarious and a bit saddening at the same time. seeing someone defend paedophilia porn is wild

Thor's worse than Phil because at least Phil knew how to complete a game.
Phil also knew when to quit. Apparently the reason Fez 2 was cancelled was because he didn't want to do it and felt like the obligation of a sequel was stupid and overbearing. The game was barely in concept phase when development stopped.

This is what makes mad about the r/gamedev thread.

The only valid concern about the movement is Software Licensing. Casey Muratori has commented on this when the movement started, and if we ignore his lolbertarian way of thinking, his only problem with the movement is that, licenses.

And I think his opinion is valid because he worked on RAD Game Tools making Bink, a software tool used by basically every game in existence. And even then, most problems with license can be solved or are excluded from SKG.

So when you see a really skilled dev making his only concern the license issue (he also thought the movement is retroactive, but we already know that's not true), you know that everything else is NOT a problem. We also haven't seen any well known studio (Larian for example) going against the movement.
To add to it, if releasing the game server binaries becomes mandatory, or a very common way to comply with whatever law SKG ends up becoming, the industry will adapt over time.

Either there will be a special license that allows the release of a locked version specially for end of life games, or there will be stubs released, that are license free and do the bare minimum to allow the game to function, but nothing else.

It's just like with GDPR, many people cried that it would be impossible to implement, and yet, nowadays, every single company in Europe complies with it.
