If your character has a vagina you have about half the amount of options, it's been maybe half a decade since I've looked at it so it's possible they added more but at the time it was very specifically geared towards only female romance options and a majority of the interactions being towards a penis.

Honest question - please laugh but I'm serious.​

Oh I know this is going to sound insane, but I am sincere.
As a fan of Downton Abbey , I noticed something that gave me an idea. Several of the women characters have a "lady's maid" , helping them with their hair, makeup , clothing, etc. This to me is an inspiration for a way to help people ( like myself ) who could use a hand, and find employment for transwomen who often have a hard time finding work.
Imagine being a transwoman , and having a lady's maid to help you on your journey. Show you how to do things the proper way, help matching makeup, styling, and all at home. I realize that in some places you can go to a makeup counter and get help, but not everyone can do that, or it's just not available. There are makeover services but the last one I looked into was $500 / session. Now I know that in our current society there are dangers involved, and going to another person's home has risks, and so on. These will have to be mitigated one way or another. Still, it's a price to pay for having a friend, coach, teacher, who is non judgmental, non sexual, non bigoted, and relatively safe to help you prepare for the day that you eventually step outside into the world as the real you.
I think this would help people who get stuck in the 'If I can't do it right I should not do it" , or " I can't reproduce what they did in that youtube video " , and so on. Someone to talk to about conditioner as you do your daily 100 strokes with the hairbrush. Someone to share in your excitement when that package from Torrid arrives. To show you how to get that lipstick to look like it should and not like a rodeo clown.

I do not CARE about not being able to have my own eggs, having a uterus forever, having to still take exogenous hormones, uterus transplant births always being c-sections. Exploring Trans Identity in a Utopian Future for Yuri Smut​

Hi! I’m writing a yuri smut story, and one of the main characters is a trans woman. The story takes place in the year 2127, where technology and society have evolved significantly. In this setting, gender transition can happen in about a month, people can physically and genetically become the gender they identify with, to the point where it’s indistinguishable from being born that way. Societal norms have also changed: transitioning is seen as a personal but casual choice, almost like a wardrobe change over time. People can edit their genes to become catboys, crocodile girls, have ant-like features, glowing eyes, etc. So transformation is just part of everyday life.
Because transitioning is so seamless and accepted in this world, I’m trying to figure out what kind of emotional arc or struggle I can give this character. I don’t want to erase the importance of her transness, but I also don’t want to rely on outdated or trauma-heavy tropes that wouldn’t make sense in this future society.
What I was thinking is more of an “anti-struggle” type of narrative. Like, she transitions, thinking it’ll be life-changing or enlightening,maybe expecting some kind of deep internal transformation,but then it just happens. One month she’s a boy, the next she’s a girl, and life keeps moving. She finds herself feeling strangely empty afterward, or even guilty, thinking “Was I really trans? Did I deserve this so easily when people in the past had to fight so hard for their transitions?” Almost like she feels like an imposter compared to the pain others had to go through.
Is this a compelling direction? Do you think it rings true, or is there something better I could explore? Her being trans is a really important part of her identity, but I want it to feel emotionally honest, not tacked on.
Of course her transness isn't her whole character arc ,some extra context: she's a very famous and reclusive writer. Her games have won multiple GOTY awards. She's shy, hyperfixates on her work, and tends to isolate herself,so I'll have some arcs were I explore why she loves her job,what it mean to her,her shyness and more. One idea I had for a theme in her arc was this quote I came up with:
“Is it better to be a monster and keep your peace, than to be a flower and wither under the world’s fire?” (Not necessarily her words, but it resonates with her.)
Also, just for transparency,I’m a cis guy (maybe mildly egg? still figuring stuff out), but I’ve always related to “feeling like a monster” in some way. I really want to do this character justice and would love to hear any advice or thoughts you all might have.

i-D magazine’s irresponsible “reporting” on London Trans Pride​

Earlier today (July 28th) i-D magazine posted an image carousel on Instagram featuring photos of Trans Pride attendees, their names, ages and responses to the prompt “What does Trans Pride mean to you?”. There were plenty of levelheaded responses, but then there’s this… “Piranha Pussy, 19” and “Zephykat Coochiehole, 21”. In a media environment where transness is constantly misrepresented as fetishistic, exhibitionist, and inherently sexual, their responses do NOTHING to dispute these falsehoods. Instead they do EVERYTHING to bolster them. As much as I’m disappointed in these two individuals for their haphazard public response to the prompt, I’m most disappointed in i-D magazine, who’s Instagram has a following of 2.3 million, for including this. It feeds into the TERF narrative of transness as explicit and child-unfriendly, and in doing so puts trans people further in danger. They do not have a specific page or email to submit feedback on their website, but their message function is available on Instagram.

Im not here to debate the ethics of non disclosure. Just wanted to hear some stories. I have encountered post op men who claim to have had sex without being clocked. I have also seen photos and videos that even i would not have clocked irl.
