General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Does it take 6 figures for this?
6 figure in yearly income generated and pretty much access to all connections in vtubing, animation, gaming, etc.

Really this is just what a titan is capable of.
She was an early adopter and put in a ton of work, had a lot of luck, and really good connections at all times so when fruition time came she just became a juggernaut.

Clio streaming Monster Hunter tonight
Glad these people are only focused on their goon seshes rather than the "be debanked for not saying anything the regime doesn't like" part of this
thats the tragic part, these people would be fine with censoring whatever they don't like if they were the ones in power, Ana Valens is a prime example of this, they just make us look bad and even worse Troons, especially Troons in the Vtuber scene are like Jews in that whenever you call out their behavior, even if its not specifically naming them as Trans you are labled as le evil Transphobe, just like how Jews name any criticism of an individual Jew's behavior as antisemitic, there's no winning with those people

I remember clips where Marine talked about an upcoming project that would cost her over 10 million yen. That song was Unison (not fully animated) and that was four years ago (when the yen was still stronger, so it translated to over $100,000 at that time). Set Sail was fully animated and, according to her, at least four times as expensive. So yeah, her MVs should cost several $100k, at least if you add the song itself to it (lyrics, composition).

Pretty much. That's why I fear that, if they get into power, they'll only remove the porn part of "freeze peach" from the moralistic payment processors, and not try to limit the power of payment processors in general.
So was Sleepy back when she was a poltergeist and she's into guys so... not sure if that's the best thing to go off of.
When did she talk about this? I'm behind on the Sleepy lore

I bet a percentage of the vtubers claiming to be lesbians or bi actually are. Maybe a quarter to a third.

I suspect the majority just say that to keep their retard unicorn fans from chimping out over the thought of BIG MALE DONGS being within 50 meters of the anime waifu they're parasocially obsessed with.

Has WS been rebooted as many times as Vanguard?
What do you mean?
I've never watched Vanguard just played it because people that played Weiss did.
You talking about the show?

It decreases the chances of people trying crazy stuff. Doesn't eliminate it, but decreases it.
Weiss Schwarz does collabs with literally everything under the sun.
Their bread and butter is anime that premieres on TV Asahi (Formerly Tele Asa) and this is the bulk of what they produced outside of Holo.

The tech issues are getting worse Slobbermutt.

Have never met someone that plays Wixoss, even online.
Probably down to the limited English releases. They only have English sets out for the game's Diva block (coming after ~35 previous releases) which limits an already limited game. I know of a couple web-hosted projects for online play, but again not much traction because the physical game is already niche enough as is, even with the anime adaptation.

Damn these look good
It's the only reason I've picked up some sealed boxes of each English release for long-term keeping. Some of the upper rarities are stupidly amazing in terms of bling (arguably better than Weiss Schwarz), and are just accessible enough for whales to ensure print runs are fully bought out. Will make for a nice bit of beer money in a few years once mainstream card "investors" realize the game has no sealed boxes left on the market.

Also on topic technically there were two Niji releases for Wixoss. The very first English release for the game was a partial collab that was followed up by the full one later on.

You'd think these companies that wanted to get more into the vtubing market would actually make digital clientwares and get a bunch of SEA monkies to do it for peanuts and bananas.

Plenty of people, including myself would play these with free clientware and then they could pull the good old gacha style microtransaction store. It's working well for Magic the Gathering Arena, and Cardfight! Vanguard Dear Days. I'm not a chink so I don't do microtransactions but if the client is good and the game is fun with pretty card art I would shill it hard.

Again, the problem with these niche card games is that they just don't make online clients when the majority of their fanbase is only going to be able to play these online outside of maybe at conventions or if they live in shithole cities but if they live in shit hole cities they probably can't afford to whale on the cardboard crack.

Not beating the pedobait allegations. She knows exactly what she's doing.
I remember that before the term "cunny" became controversial, she would pretty much embrace it and even got banned on Twitch one time because of it.
(She was showing the feet of her model and you can guess what the chat's reaction was.)
Now she toned it down a lot and pretends that it's all just a joke.
But that's the thing with those people.
They gaslight you by saying that it's all just a big inside joke, but everyone who's not a complete retard knows exactly what's going on.
Edit:
Just throwing that in here: She mentioned on Stream that one of her most active Twitch mods is like 50 or almost 60 years old. Maybe that's just me, but I think this is a little weird.

How much money is she likely spending for around 5 minutes of the highest tier animation you can get? Does it take 6 figures for this?
That looks like 6 figures worth of MV, easy. Shockingly low number of reused/still frames, and the ones that are there are disguised well. Cost could be lower than I'm thinking if the creatives involved are working at a contracted rate on multiple projects for Holo, but that video was a major line item somewhere.

She's the largest active vtuber in the world by sub count, next closest is like a million subs behind her. Next closest in the company is at like 2.7 mil. I can see why Cover would feel comfortable fronting the cash for something like this.
