Haven't seen it explicitly mentioned yet, but getting extensions like this is the female equivalent of a nerdy male suddenly hitting the gym and caring about his wardrobe. Totally, and it took Anisa waaay too long to realize leftist men (the normal looking ones) will lie and pretend to be into unconventional, edgy, ugly, fat etc. women to seem different and get feminist points. It's the "safe horny" for them without being ostracized for finding conventionally beautiful normie women hot and it's extremely perfomative and fake, so their fanbase of fat, unattractive women or the Ramona Flowers wannabes with the cow septum piercings can feel like they have a chance with their fave streamer.

Anisa looks discourse has been discussed here way too many times, but still my theory is her tryhardness, inauthenticity, awkwardness and the overall evil and spiteful vibes just ooze out of her so hard she can't appeal to anyone.
