@Forsaken Wanderer I recommend the 5-pocket chinos or corduroy pants. Those would be comfy and easy care while still looking work appropriate.

I'm confused about the microwave pies 5 times a day. There's more to life, and the frozen food section of the supermarket, than microwave meat pies innit? Like you could switch it up with tendies, mac and cheese, salisbury steaks, lasagna... heck you can just get a nice loaf of bread and some butter and deli meat and make yourself a sandwich. None of that is more complex than microwaving things. (OK tendies will taste better in an oven or air fryer but still, it's a set and let it cook, takes 10 mins.)

Is this a sensory/picky eater thing? Or is this a depression/survival under stress thing that you keep eating the same item over and over?

Thanks stan, these ones? https://www.hallensteins.com/p/organic-tapered-fit-chinos-10003238-tan 5 pockets? it looks like all sizes are back so I will probably get those, I need to order something very soon before my other pants wear out.

I mean a microwave pie 7 days a week, I don't have more than one a day.

I'd like to get something else but I don't know about anything else. You can get frozen lasagna? Generally with most frozen things you have to put them in the oven, like frozen pizzas, are you not?

I'm not a picky eater but it is a depression survival thing that I just quickly order the same things every week.

I'm so fucking tired of work. I'm just done with this bullshit. I can't be the only one that has reached 100% fatigue.

Just this day over and over again for the rest of my life. This is all I have to look forward to.

I'm so worn down, I'm wasting away.

I can't remember how this got started
But I can tell you exactly how it will end

It will be my death, either by my own hand or when my waning spirit can no longer support my decaying body

But white food is sooo boring
Do you not appreciate Ashkenazi cuisine? It's the finest the continent has to offer.

Edit: Since you asked me to be more sincere, I will regale you with an anecdote from work. After having served me faithfully for upwards of a decade, my (2nd hand) laptop has started to die. It costed nothing and never asked for updates or received vacations, but it still worked without complaint for so many years even as I purchased newer, better devices. Seeing its battery drain rapidly reminded me of you. Being a victim of work exploitation yourself, do you have any recommendations for how I can extract the last vestiges of value from my poor old laptop?

Unrelated to the anecdote above, have you considered switching jobs before your owner boss decides to replace you with a less tired model?

Yeah those look nice on you. Don't forget to hem the end if they are too long on the legs.

Sry I mis-typed. I meant 7 days a week. Five microwave pies a day would be... an estimable amount of pie.

Pizzas generally do need the oven, yes.
Some frozen lasagnas and pastas can be prepped in the microwave. Mostly it depends if they're packed in a plastic tray or a metal one. (plastic = yes, metal = no) The Stouffer's lasagnas are microwaveable.
Other options include: meatloaf, fettucine, mac and cheese, spaghetti. I think they do Salisbury steak too.
Might be worth a trip to the grocery just to see what they have in the frozen section. Just so you can switch things up every now and then.

I checked my freezer and sure enough Stouffer's does make Salisbury Steak (aka emergency steak aka a ground beef patty that kind of resembles a steak.) Mine comes in a tray meal with mac.

IIRC they even do things like turkey dinners w mashed potato and veg. I feel somewhat bad that I'm encouraging FW to eat processed dross from the freezer section, that stuff's all kinda of expensive for what you get and high in salt; yet you seem too stressed out or busy to learn cooking, and it would have to be at least a incremental upgrade to have a few different foods to choose from every day.

LMK if I am wrong about the cooking thing. If you're open to it you could begin with box mixes like hamburger helper. That's quite simple, comes in many flavors, the whole concept is that you only need basic ingredients (namely, 500g uncooked ground beef) and all the seasoning, and starch comes with the mix. You can even jazz it up a little with frozen veg or other add-ins. (I also vaguely recall Tuna Helper, which was also good, but I'm the kind of dirty Jew who likes canned tuna and English mustard in her Wacky Mac. Also helps if you use the oil-packed tuna, so much tastier.)

Does Kirby eat human food or turn his nose up? It's either one or the other for cats... they love the human food or they get all skeptical when presented it.

I'm not smart enough to get it. The boarders get scammed out of all their money? Is this an anagram?
Good guess. You're actually half correct.

The sign gag is from an old Looney Tunes cartoon entitled Trap-Happy Porky (1945.) Are you familiar with Looney Tunes? Porky Pig, the protagonist for the short, resides in the affectionately named Uncle Tom's Cabins. The double entendre involves the complex being named after an anti-slavery book, Uncle Tom's Cabin. "For all they've got" means the residents would be exploited one way or another while they reside there.

Now, Uncle Tom is a derogatory term for Black people, often used BY other Black people, to suggest that they are subservient to the White man. Uncle Tom is the titular slave in the book. Somebody asked if I was Black or White, so I was playing around with the ambiguity, hence the sign gag.

Its like they've never heard of cookbooks lol

There's something insidious about the “muh cultural foods” and cheap labor arguments, though. Plantation owners were all for mass importing slaves under the argument that white people wouldn't do it cheaply.

CEOs argue for mass importation of cheap labor because whites are far more likely to organize for unions and better pay. Up here in Canada, it’s getting to the point where I've been getting called “far right” for being pro-union. Crazy how leftists are starting to call things Marx advocated for (working class having guns, unions, affordable homes just to name a few) far right” these days.

How long do you think it’ll be before they try to rebrand communism as “fascist”? I'm giving it a month at this point.

@Forsaken Wanderer You're being an extra cringe gay retard lately. Have you ever even been to Europe?

Edit: Anyways, the crossover episode with Slungus was fun. It's interesting to see you being so friendly to literal retards and depressed druggies like @Second Alter Ego. I guess it's some type of solidarity among the retarded.

For some reason I think this belongs here. I post because this is what this thread reminds me of and im also making fun of myself. Nobody is either good or bad in this situation, I feel like we are all both the neurotic screaming human and the dismissive ai locked in an eternal battle to improve a life that we have no agency over (except FW who is trying to justify why he is powerless to have agency) This thread is just the same thing over and over and over and nobody is growing or becoming better from it. I dont even know why this exists at this point, containment? I feel like this could go on for thousands of pages and remain exactly the same at this point.

I think the point here is we're trying to share some of the human condition (empathy + pain) with each other so we're not all alone in the damn abyss. Yes we could go on forever for thousands of pages, what would change? Maybe one day @Forsaken Wanderer will finally throw off his shackles and be the kiwi we know he can be. Maybe not.

We're stuck on earth so might as well commiserate.

I agree, but sometimes its almost like we miss each other and each others points and the same things get reiterated again and again. If it truly helps and people are finding connection then I agree, that is more than enough reason for a thread, but dont be surprised is all im saying, if one day its gone due to the main person being not the central focus. if this is a thread for self help in general for all of us, should it not be retitled and moved? I would like that to be honest and then id really enjoy helping whoever comes here, but as it stands, its focus is only of FW

Good point. I don't think a self help thread for people to come by and use is necessarily a good idea though, especially not here- if anything, that should be reserved for therapists who are willing to introspect with people not just push diagnoses on them randomly.
