After being stranded for the third time and $3k in work one mechanic even told me that one of the new sensors they had put in a couple weeks earlier had already failed and that 1 in 4 brand new sensors like this are just bad out of the box. He explained this as if it's just the new normal everybody understands and accepts.

This is unsustainable.
Going to offer some insight on these failures, if you don't mind. I'm not sure if it's intentional rather than being cheap. At my current workplace, ever since we got bought out by Transdigm, quality has been decreasing. All they care about is how much we can shit out for the quarter to please shareholders. They refuse to hire more people too, they just care about squeezing every last drop they can. I wonder at what point will the military and government bother to take notice since we make hybrid chips for their missiles.

Mind saying what car? We're very hesitant to buy anything newer because of this. It's like between planned obsolescence, everything being a scam, and no one giving a shit about anything anymore, literally nothing works and no one can figure it out.
It was a 2015 Jeep and I would've driven it until the wheels fell off if I could have but once those sensors start to go that's a wrap. EVERY modern car is like this and 2025's are much worse than 2015's. So I bought a Subaru because say what you will about the gays they do know quality! It's even more electronic though so I have the same 100k mile worries. The point is they've conditioned the American people to just expect to have a perpetual car note that gets rolled over into a new loan every 3 years.

Oh and a previous comment mentioned classic cars. Nothing made in the past 15+ years will ever be considered a classic car. There won't be any Meacham auctions in 50 years for these things because they will be impossible to restore. Where are you going to find an original 3" LCD screen for the dash that still works? Most aren't even square standard sizes any more but weird custom-fit shapes instead. There won't even be an aftermarket for those since the demand won't exist. Why would you want it anyway? The same nostalgia exists for the first Android or iOS interface that will exist for any of these UI's 50 years from now. Future car enthusiasts are going to look back on this as the dark ages.

Sensors aren't intentionally designed to fail new out of the box. This is more an issue with tons of car parts being made in China or other places with crappy QA/QC, which is done to make beancounters happy.

Americans back in the 50-60s were so much wealthy that they could afford disposable V8 every 2 years.
That or it's pretty cheap to make disposable rust buckets that are styled nicely and engineered at what we'd call jeet-level today.
We're almost certainly wealthier in most real and practical terms than they were. Houses are pretty nice, AC is everywhere, every home has a huge plethora of computers, appliances (which work much better generally) telephones, and tech that was science fiction back then. We've got more food, generally better food, and extraordinary varieties of it, which we prepare more artfully. If contemporary culture sucks we've got access to previous culture at extraordinary levels without advertisements if you're clever and for a fairly modest subscription if you're retarded. Everything can be delivered pretty cheaply, and it's of generally uniform quality and pretty comparable. People doom about the consumer economy these days, but it's a fucking miracle and we have so much nice shit accessible it's pretty wild. Poor people today have it better today than in the 60s. Even some of our homeless seem like they've got a good deal going.

Our social wealth is lower, our infrastructure is not on a par, and architecture and design are worse, for sure. Artists are retarded, fat, gay, nigs or nig-minded, and culture is a fucking sewer. But our stuff, our consumer goods and durable goods, it's all gotten pretty good. Line doesn't go up if shit's not getting better in ways that matter to people. Can't really just magic up or fake on the books all of the process and quality improvements we've gotten. Look at our goddamned toys.

Needs to get a hot chick in there to really drive home that voting D is for ugly fat people.
Don't worry the Dems will have ugly fat people denounce all of the NFL studs saying "Hey kid, you too can exercise, not eat like a pig, and look good"

The sensors aren't designed to fail out of the box it's quality control that's non-existent to meet demand and keep the supply chain up. The bigger point is why are there 14 sensors in the first place? Why are there two camshaft position sensors? Why can't you bypass any of this shit so the car will start and not leave me stranded 3 miles deep in the swamp with no cell service (twice)? Bullshit fuel-economy and emissions mandates, that's why.

letting Hitler create a communist-free greater Europe with separate National Socialist nations
I guess the NSDAP had nothing to do with Vichy France, the Belgian Committee of Secretaries-General, the NSDAP-aligned Danish government, Luxembourgian, Norwegian and (for a while) Finnish governments adopting NSDAP policies and practices, let alone the spread of NSDAP politics in India, the Balkans, even the good ol’ US of A…

I had no idea India and Russia were military friends. This makes me want them in my country even less. If they're filling rolls in banking, microsoft department of defense, etc, then its a huge hole for spies. Way worse than the stuff going on with chinese farms.
Yup a lot of people are ignorant of this. And they are objectively worse than the Chinese because people underestimate them. Literally Trump interfering in the war was a mistake. Neither side is on our side. Let the chips fall as they may.

It’s a major problem that Indians are in control of our tech companies and it’s not a coincidence that there’s been leaks from these companies to our enemies. They’re not our friends and they literally want to imperialize everyone else.

Nothing like closing the barn door after the colt has bolted ridden the walmart rascal scooter out.

Better than nothing, though, I suppose.
Don’t worry, he’s also fixing America’s childhood obesity problem by deporting half the fat kids and removing prepared food from food stamps so that the other half can’t afford to get fat:

Like all negative statistics about America, it’s just a proxy for a decreasing percentage of middle-class White people.
