Dawg look at my mufucking 2 trillion dollar jet program
BTW for those keeping track at home that takes us up to a clean 30 crashes since it started flying, 11 total write offs and 1 pilot fatality

just shy of 2 trillion dollars, countless man hours, and atleast 1 brave Airman all to bomb dirt huts, the waste and poor resources management is sickening. The mud huts dont shoot back and we cant keep these fuckers in the air what happens if we fight someone who DOES shoot back with peer capability?

It was a 2015 Jeep and I would've driven it until the wheels fell off if I could have but once those sensors start to go that's a wrap. EVERY modern car is like this and 2025's are much worse than 2015's. So I bought a Subaru because say what you will about the gays they do know quality! It's even more electronic though so I have the same 100k mile worries. The point is they've conditioned the American people to just expect to have a perpetual car note that gets rolled over into a new loan every 3 years.

Oh and a previous comment mentioned classic cars. Nothing made in the past 15+ years will ever be considered a classic car. There won't be any Meacham auctions in 50 years for these things because they will be impossible to restore. Where are you going to find an original 3" LCD screen for the dash that still works? Most aren't even square standard sizes any more but weird custom-fit shapes instead. There won't even be an aftermarket for those since the demand won't exist. Why would you want it anyway? The same nostalgia exists for the first Android or iOS interface that will exist for any of these UI's 50 years from now. Future car enthusiasts are going to look back on this as the dark ages.
Ok you can't talk about cars so being shit and expensive to repair if you got a Jeep. Jeeps are notorious money pits.

Cars of the last 10 years are definitely worse, but there are a lot better options than a Jeep.

Toyota and Honda are considered the gold standard, and Subaru are up there too in terms of reliability. When looking up for a friend buying a new car last year, the top ten cars surveyed for least reported repairs is 6 Toyotas(the top two are both Prius) a Honda, two Subarus and another Toyota in that order.

, who thinks the media still works the way it did in the days of Walter Cronkite (ignoring that even his legacy has been subject to endless self-idolatry by the press and has little bearing on reality itself), who turn on the television and have it run all day while they shuffle around their paid-off house they've had since they were 28, who think the country itself is at stake
It’s funny that people worship Walter Cronkite as this based “good” journo that was honest unlike the modern MSM while ignoring that he was a communist subversive who sabotaged the war effort in Vietnam by depicting it as a losing battle even as we were winning overwhelmingly and helped brought about the tyranny of civil rights and globohomo. The MSM was never good and 99% of journalism has always been shit, never forget that.

Well that's a really easy question because no one has peer capability. No one even approaches peer capability.

Aircraft crash, Rockets explode, this is how living on the cutting edge of technology works.

30 losses out of over 1,200 F-35's built (with 3,000 on order) is pretty good i'd say.

and no one knows how it'd perform in a peer war, but then again no one does for any plane built in the last 70 years. but Categorically the F-35 is more survivable than a f-16 or f-15 or f-18 due to its stealth characteristics alone.

No one here is under 18 right we should be fine right. Damn it Britain your faggot as “child safety act” is gonna fuck us all.
Not gonna lie, While I've always argued here and other places the the US would be very difficult to pass such a restrictive law like that but I never thought about the fact that the law doesn't even need to pass here in US, it just needed to pass in UK for it to affect the whole world. People that argued with me that any restrictions on porn would always lead back to total censorship are completely vindicated now. It sucks though because it feels like were doomed to be mentally destroyed no matter what, either due to huge government censorship and controlling how people think and what information they receive, or by the population destroying themselves by wasting their brain on endless porn. It seems there is no solution to these problems.

They weren't even on the board. They picked up a couple of Tesla stocks to sue just to fuck with Musk. Part of the reason Delaware was so popular to incorporate in is their court system typically dealt with those cases by laughing them out of court.

I don't mind politicians owning some stock, especially broad market cap weighted index funds. When you shut out one of the few reasonable ways to save in America you just make it even more of a requirement that they are already rich or they are owned in full by someone who is.

Private companies already have this figured out if you get payed way too much in stock and don't want the FTC up your ass when you didn't actually try to fuck anyone. You submit your plan in writing for the next year minimum (hell, make it full term they are elected for) and then you don't get to deviate. Have it in writing and have it public for everyone to see.
About 20 years ago I came up with an out-of-the-box idea that promptly got me laughed out of every room. Full financial transparency for Members of Congress and their spouses. I don't care if you're trading stocks but I want to know the instant you press the Buy or Sell button. Not only that but all of your finances should be fully open. Every deposit and withdrawal publicly searchable. I don't need to know the names of the parties involved necessarily but a ledger of what goes into and out of elected official's bank accounts could be enough. Buying your 5th house? Where'd the money come from? I don't see enough in/out for that - so how? etc, etc. At the very least it might discourage many of the bad actors from trying to run in the first place.

Flame away. Things were bad enough then, so much worse now.

They really transformed into that the year after mine. It wasn't a money pit until the last 5k miles and was ideal up until that point. Of course I would never consider a Stelantis vehicle today. I was originally set on a Toyota or Honda to replace it but looked up the Subaru equiv on a whim and it was just as good at everything, got 25% better gas mileage and I was able to get it $10k cheaper. Subaru also gave me a 1.9% rate which I couldn't believe (still don't really).

Oh hey, it’s the alcoholic. Got a hangover, dude?
You cant drink all day if you dont start in the morning

Im doing just fine and dandy thanks for asking though

So you have found yourself in the point of the trump presidency where your aggresivley being like

"GUYS THE 17 OLD GIRL WAS JUST RESTOCKING TOWELS, REEEEEEEE"

Stop and ask yourself, does defending some new york billionaire hiring underage girls in his spa really feel like the "winning" he was describing?

Aw you got me all wrong dude, I clown on Trump when he screws up lots of times. I just don’t see your particular form of schizoid theory convincing. Ultimately it comes down to the fact that the rich and powerful have always and will always exploit that power, and there’s nothing any one group is capable of changing that. So I’ll applaud the corrupt asshole who at least is kicking out brown people and you can just sit there and drink life away I guess. 🤷‍♂️

>Senator Rick Scott on the stock buying ban for Congress: "this idea that we're going to attack people because they make money is wrong."

>“Anyone want to be poor? I don’t”

He says he agrees with banning congress members for buying stock, so it could be that the legislation in-front of him is not to his liking.
Take that for whatever it's worth.

Churchill was not only not Prime Minister in 1939, he wasn't even part of the government from 1929-1939. He only rejoined the government in 1939 after Chamberlain declared war and appointed him First Lord of the Admiralty.
I'm not throwing my hat into the Hitler sperging but this is patently false - Churchill was still in Parliament and held considerable (although indirect) influence via his prolific essays and writings. He wasn't in Chamberlain's cabinet but the idea that he disappeared entirely from politics in those ten years is laughable.

For anyone interested in a more in-depth perspective that is neither pro-Hitler (read: not a Neonazi shill) nor sucking Churchill dick over WWII I'd highly recommend Pat Buchanan's "Churchill, Hitler, and the Unnecessary War."
