Yeah man when everyone said Covid isn’t a thing china isn’t doing lockdowns shut up and kiss your local chinaman, Jim did some streams.

Jim's early COVID streams helped me prep. Not like 40,000 rolls of TP and fuck you prep, but get a few things necessary to ride it out. Not going to powerlevel, but it killed off my main source of income quickly, so I was able to ride through it by diversifying what I did for work and that saved my ass.

Did he go too far? Possibly- but I remember the stream.me videos where people were being welded inside their homes, pets being confiscated and killed- and on our side of the pond? People licking laptops at Costco before it became a TikTok thing.

Was it ultimately harmful to lock everyone up? Absolutely. Did we learn from it? Probably not. If history has shown us anything, there's a percentage of the population who just want to be told what to do so they feel safe- we've got a handful of people who still wear face diapers outside, walking by themselves down the road. At least they're no longer able to force that upon others.

Plus you gotta admit, the footage we got from China on the early stages, people collapsing on the streets, the military welding people's doors shut, hazmat teams mass sanitizing streets, doctors on the run from the authorities for trying to leak info to the world, were quite, if nothing else, striking. Were they real and what happened in China was different from what the rest of the world got? Was it all a scheme? I don't know, but the western authorities' first reaction of "Don't be stupid, it's nothing, also what are you, a heckin racist? Lick an Asian's face RIGHT NOW"* was by itself a reason to suspect "oh shit this is actually real".

During his coof streams he was watching videos of the Chinese government literally welding people shut in their apartments, chinks having seizures, hazmat suits spraying people down and quarantining off entire apartment complexes and houses. This was going down while the rest of the world was still in its "lol nah its fine bro nothings gonna happen" phase.

Jim figured if it was nothing China wouldn't be welding people shut in their own apartments.

In my opinion he was partially right it in the regard that it was worse than what people thought but not quite as bad as what Jim thought it was going to be. I think watching a bunch of Chinese glowies welding their own people into their own apartments and nailing their doors shut to trap them inside probably gave him the idea it was way worse than what it ended up being, in reality that had more to do with the chinky government being a oppressive dictator shithole.

COVID had jack shit for lethality outside of the elderly and those with severe comorbidities. Though, I genuinely believe to this day that the death toll was FAR higher in China than what they reported, and the reason it was so high there compared to the US was because China has such shit health due to things like the air quality, water quality, food quality, etc. I also think there's at least a chance it was engineered as a plague to kill off China's elderly and non working population, but got out of control due to their populace being so unhealthy.
