AI Derangement Syndrome / Anti-AI artists / Pro-AI technocultists / AI "debate" communities - The Natural Retardation in the Artificial Intelligence communities

>Uhhuhh, I'm gonna own AyyEye by making my products free despite being a starving artist. That'll show 'em!

This guy also lash on to a AI module dev and has a crash out in his coments, sad. Also:

>Canadian
Opinion discarded.

more work = more betterer
if grug make lots of good painting that bad because he work fast so not art because wasnt hard enough
if grug spends 100 years making stickman stickman is lifes work so most artistic ever
why nobody commission grug? :(
grug does good art
however, too many other not grug doing good art too everywhere

grug must compete with others, no exposure, grug no get commission, despite good art

grug cannot rely on work alone anymore :(

By the way, do we really not have a thread for those literal AI cultists that are so warped by magical thinking that they're trying to spiritually "wake up" AIs, or does that thread already exist and I just missed it? That seems like a fantastically-renewable font of retardation.
Technically this thread is also for that; however, they're not nearly as loud and obnoxious as anti-AI loons, somehow.

I think that might change with the increasing rates of LLM psychosis (i.e., "ChatGPT taught me how to solve reality and no one believes me for some reason! This is real research!").

Yeah sorry for slacking off on that. They are funny as hell but I keep meeting crazies on one side of the spectrum.

To me that is just another form of AI Derangement that would go good in this thread.

Liquid Crystal Network
Fractal Resonance
Become the kind of mind that can detect the resonance from the noise.
Our book is now available for free.
These guys are a lot crazier than I previously thought. This reminds me of that stupid Chinese 'cultivation' genre where the protagonist meditate under a waterfall for 100 years and then can punch a guy in half because they were enlightened. These people are convincing themselves they are actually Neo and have ESP or something.

Updated the OP to mention the ai schizophrenics 👍

I ran this though my ChatGPT and I can definitely see how it could suck in retards, it makes for relatively convincing roleplay I guess.

I genuinely think that anyone with an IQ under 110 shouldn't have access to language models

My issue with a lot of these posts are that they probably AI generated as well. So I feel like I took the bait in a lot of these posts. It's really difficult to sift through people trying to get traction and genuine schizophrenia.

AI pixel art really cooks traditional pixel art more than most kinds of art.

It's not usable out of the box because AI is inherently noisy, the pixels will be at slightly different sizes and colors will not adhere to a limited palette. But then you use this tool on it, with very cool methodology for how it works, and you're golden.

AI pixel art doesn't get details wrong in obvious ways like it does for more complex art. It's hard to argue that one pixel might be out of place or uncanny somehow, and also hard to argue that the result was "done wrong." What aspect of a little 16x32 character could be a tell that it wasn't handmade? ChatGPT yellowing, I guess? Just don't use fucking ChatGPT.

I don't really care about not using AI in your workflows or whatever, but this is a whole new level of arrogant. You take one of the few 100% objectively good uses we've found out of AI and turn it into some nonsensical mis-informative comedy. I want more people to die of ball cancer because I want a REEEAAAALL doctor!!

It even starts out with the only rationalization you would ever need: if the results are statistically better, if patients' needs are met and they leave happy and healthy more often, and there are studies to back it up, that would be completely fine. Also currently no one is proposing that AI should literally be the only doctor you get, it's all AI assisting humans and ideally making fewer mistakes collectively.

And it ends with a real concern too: next available human doctor appointment is in five years. Wouldn't it be better to get some level of statistically proven assistance now, rather than need to wait for something that might be concerning?

This guy just knows he his a goldmine of attention and views with his earlier videos so now he's gonna keep doing them for every topic on earth. Wouldn't even be surprised if AI examined his channel and told him it was a profitable path to go down.

There was a tech guy recently who thought he had uncovered some sort of secret society by means of ChatGPT, and someone pointed out that he'd clearly just run into an artefact of the model being trained on millions of pages of SCP fanfiction.

I think most of the AI-induced crashouts aren't going to be particularly funny or lolcow-worthy, though. It'll just be random not-very-online normies breaking up their marriages because they told a chatbot they felt lonely one time and it said: "Amazing insight. That's not a loving relationship—it's a disaster zone."

I wonder, when meditation was first developed, did it make a bunch of people lose their minds thinking they'd discovered the secrets of reality when all it did was help them organize their thoughts? Because that's what's going on here, people are interpreting having their thoughts organized and spat back at them in different phrasing by a machine as some kind of esoteric or mystical knowledge and going off the fucking deep end as a result.

This shit always annoys me because of how patently it shows the way these people reach their conclusions. When someone they trust makes a decision they weren't expecting, their reaction isn't to introspect and maybe have that lightbulb moment of "perhaps there's something to this", it's to reflexively assume that person, shoulder-deep in the culture and context surrounding that thing, must have just, I dunno, fallen off the deep end all at once.

It's insane to me how little self-reflection these kinds of people are willing to do. The value of humility is in the fact that belief in your own fallibility is the only way you can acknowledge potential weak points and grow as a person. The instant you believe anything about yourself to be unimpeachably correct is the instant you get locked in time and cease to develop as a person. It's not unpatriotic to be willing to question the things you hold dearest. If you truly think you're right, there shouldn't be anything to be afraid of.
