Blackpilling is the only logical position at this point. How the fuck does this admin keep getting worse?
Any time I'm feeling down, any time I'm feeling like things aren't going as they should, @Fatpacks delivers to reassure me it's all gonna be okay.

Thank you @Fatpacks, you're right. Logic has failed us. We should take logic out back and shoot it between the eyes like the rabid dog it is.

We're gonna fucking make it guys.

No idea. Even if they have been, they’re pretty powerless right now, their jurisdiction ends at state lines. They need extradition from Illinois (lol) or for the reps to return to Texas.

Though I can’t find anything saying the senate has directed the sergeant at arms to arrest them either. Which frankly isn’t surprising, our government is kind of feckless. Abbot only recently decided to grow a pair and support things that don’t poll at 70% approval, the senate is full of morons, and Paxton, though decent as an AG, is a terrible person and a two faced POS.
And I don’t think I need to explain the issues with Cruz or Cornyn.
Edit: SCOTX is alright though, even if it’s not the same without Nathan Hecht.
You forgot to mention that the House is completely undermined by Democrats pretending to be Republicans just refusing to address things that the Republican base in the state desperately want dealt with.

inbred levels of insecurity and their neurotic fixation on shame and humiliation
This guy has a name inspired by French philosophy, has a French philosopher as a profile pic, and has a worldview influenced by French philosophy but accuses other people of being insecure with a fixation on shame/humiliation

Glass houses

So im a little confused about this "House Democrats running away to stop redistricting"

Why does it even matter that theyre not there? I feel like I came in in the middle of the conversation and all it looks like to me is "I'm big mad that my mom is telling me to clean my room so I'll run away."

They can be legally dragged back? I guess I don't entirely understand the whole "issuing warrants". Why can't their vote just be void because they aren't there?

Nigger pillers are so completely buck broken. History is not teleological but inherently cyclical and neither good times nor bad times can reasonably be expected to last forever. Things will inevitably get better but it will be one giant retard wrangling struggle session in between. They share the same ontology as GDPcels who believe 'line' must go up forever and ever, that the be all end all of human history is for the world to become one big gay Neoliberal shopping mall. Everything must be sacrificed on the pyre of 'line going up' even if it means obliterating everything that made your country decent. 98 percent of pearl clutchers are a variant of concern trolling over the line going up, whether it be the GDP, population, the DOW Jones etc, etc. Number go up! NUMBER GO UP!!

To my understanding they're trying to use some desperate legal legislative technicality or whatever to stop the redistricting. Historically on the state level, this apparently isn't a new tactic but it has had limited success. Gov. Greg Abbott can call unlimited special sessions lasting up to 30 days each. If Democrats break quorum during the current special session, which runs through late August, Abbott could immediately call another session the next day, and continue doing so indefinitely.

I don't know if you're still mentally stuck in 2015 or too young to remember it, but people don't believe in this wolf anymore.
Purple Texas is the cold fusion of US politics. New Jersey is more purple than Texas at this point, and it's not particularly close.
NJ: 51.9% Kamala, 46% Trump
Texas: 56.1% Trump, 42.4% Kamala

This is before the deportation waves, btw. If the Republicans manage to force through voter ID laws federally (which should honestly be a much higher priority than it is right now), the next few presidential elections are gonna be blowouts.

2/3s of the House HAS to be present to do shit. There are 150 members, but 61 are Democrats and probably at least 14 more are Democrats pretending to be Republican.

Edit: I should also mention that every day Democrats break quorum they're being fined $500 per day which isn't nearly enough as long as the Dem donors are financing it. There's been some scuttlebutt about Abbott declaring that kind of funding an illegal bribe, but I doubt that'd actually fly and is likely just posturing.
