What’s needed to restore manufacturing isn’t electronic engineers or a biotech engineer.

You don’t need people who studied for half a decade and expect a 100.000$ starting salary. You need the kind mid-level specialists who knows or has studied industrial engineering or process engineering.

And that’s even without considering the regular factory workers. You can’t just transfer the skills you learned as an English Major or working at McDonalds onto a factory floor.

Just read what some of the people who attempted manufacturing something like cellphones in America have written. Motorola, now a Chinese company, tried it in the 2010’s.
Apple used to have manufacturing in America as well, and it wasn’t just the price of labor that made them move it to China.

Some of you seem to think that: “JUST MAKE TARRIFF AND BUILD FACTORY! THINGS WILL MAGICALLY HAPPEN!” It isn’t that simple.

This is sadly the case 30 years of ""free trade"" and deindustrialization policy has hollowed out the US in manufacturing particularly crucial second stage manufacturing.
If we did trumps crazy tariffs back in 2000 or even 2008 this wouldn't ve as big of an issue as cities like Cleveland, and cinncinatti could have the factories just turned back on.
People have to understand everything here takes time and quite frankly this time is goijg to take awhile to get there.

I've noticed this on X. There's an extremely loud minority of "right wingers" on X that only care about owning the jews. Hell, one of them is one of the J6ers that Trump commuted the sentence of. He's telling everyone not to vote in the midterms because apparently if Trump doesn't glass Israel from orbit then he betrayed all of his supporters and failed to fulfill any of his campaign promises. They're like fucking everywhere online but if you asked any normal person IRL they'd hate them. I'm just so tired of this discourse. And what's funny is that I can admit when Trump fucks up. The thing recently where he said he would withhold disaster relief from states that were anti-Israel was a massive mistake.
