Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

Got through a few pages of this, and I swear there's an anime that has this exact plotline without the Tumblr gender bullshit.
Guy turned into girl? There's like a billion animes with that plotline. All of them better than this, I'm sure.

Now that I've actually read it I can identify that anime as Kampfer. Also why is his tranny ring power summoning an illuminati pentagram what the fuck

I think people forget that Marilyn Monroe was actually pretty thin. Definitely curvy but certainly not "plus size." It's pretty funny that HAES people look up to her when if she were alive today, they would hate her.
Marilyn Monroe was nowhere near plus sized. One of the blouses she wears is a size 14. People see that number and run with it to scream that she was fat but if that blouse was made today it would be a size 6. I believe at her heaviest she would be considered a size 10 or maybe 12 today. That isn't even considered plus sized. Like you said they would hate her.

At least its original.

I'm guessing they're trying to give her a 50s vibe, but someone should tell the artist that being born in the 50s and dying at 21 would put her solidly in the 1970s. But apparently disco lesbians aren't cool.

This comic doesn't deserve this autism. (Nobody does, but well, WITCH doesn't deserve this...). What's amazing is that this pictures (and the headcanons in the artist's comment) encapsules EVERYTHING (uwu lesbians, fat gaining, blm, male cucks...). What's only missing is some blackwashing.

Funny how they're pro- conservative muslim refugees and at the same time trying so hard to be deviantly gay.

The art style isn't that bad, we've all certainly seen a lot worse. *cough* Gen Zed *cough*

But holy hell, Strawman characters. Strawman characters everywhere. And it's like these... characters(?) if you can even call them so, rather than just token personalities for Regressive Liberal movements are just PUT THERE, with no context at all.

EDIT: It seems this person has a highly inconsistent art style when you look through their art tag:

I'm thoroughly disappointed, honestly. I didn't think that THIS would be the highest quality artwork in their tag, but GO FIGURE.

I can only wonder why. I don't think your average Tumblrite would be into rock 'n' roll and motorcycles and leather jackets 'n' shit.

It's because 50s/rockabilly's been en-vogue for the past few years. Walk into any Sidecca or Hot Topic--the traditional bastions of quirkiness--and it's wall-to-wall A-line dresses.

As for the actual Greaser bit, that's pretty much the above mixed with Tumblr's general hard-on for anything punk. Because it's just as edgy, but it's vintage.

But they don't like rock n roll because that's appropriation of black culture. And, of course, they won't listen to Chuck Berry or other black musicians, because...well, I'm not sure why, but it's probably racist somehow.

I have never voluntarily walked into a Hot Topic and I have never intended to, thank you very much, so I have no idea if this is actually true.

I have often thought that Tumblr got their ideas about 20s culture from the awful Baz Luhrmann Great Gatsby film... anyone know what's the source of their ideas about 50s culture?

No idea about Gatsby, I never see any talk about that film there I think, however I guess they grew up on Looney Tunes Tom and Jerry and Grease and rather like the "aesthetic" I guess, the milkshakes, the french poodle skits, the motorcycle gangs...

It's funny, because Grease was the result of nostalgia for the 50's in the 70's, and then in the 90's people got nostalgic for the 70's, which included the 70's nostalgia for the 50's, and now we're nostalgic for the 90's and WE'RE NEVER GOING TO ESCAPE THE 50's, FUCK YOU, IKE EISENHOWER! :cans:

I could buy that Tumblr's vision of the 50s is based on Grease... the movie. The play is apparently pretty different.

Still, I'd think that the lesson of the movie, that you have to change yourself if you want to get a boyfriend, would put it on the shitlist.

And now we're OLD and can't even warn the current generation about why this is horrible and it sucks because they'll just look at us and dismiss anything we say on the ground of old.
