What about a Boi named Zack and a gofundme for a dropped lawsuit. I think perhaps the creator of said gofundme steered people wrong into donating over 100K to a lost cause. Here he is saying Antarctic Press are losers and poor then why did Your Boi named Zachary even want to be published there? Obviously he did better on Indiegogo and Waid's interference was beneficial.

I hope we eventually find out why the law suit was dropped.
I bet zack and evs were using the gofundme money for themselves (gas station burritos and gambling) and couldn't pay the lawyers. Anyway Zachary was going to lose because he can't prove he lost money- quite the opposite got all the indiegogo grift bux. The lawyers getting Waid to accept their crying mercy was the best ending available. Had Antarctic filed the same suit it might have been a better case...they lost out on a countable sum that Jawbreakers made and it was their business Waid interfered with.

Imo, the fact that he ultimately made money is of little importance. He put Zack in the red temporarily by having him learn how to handle self-publishing when AP could have done that had the deal remained. I think that everyone got sick of it (judge included), Zack would rather spend money on rent than a lawsuit, Waid embarrassed himself enough already, Waid's lawyer made a "We do not talk, you do not talk" offer, Zack accepted and everyone went their separate ways.
I do think that, as far as the lawsuit goes, Zack won (he embarrassed himself later but that has little to do with that). He helped expose Waid as a manbaby to the fans (recall of all the stories of him throwing temper tantrums we learned because of all this) and destroyed his image as a defender of the marginalized (remember the story about how he pushed a black woman out of a co-ownership of a comic shop so that he can give it to his girlfriend?). Zack spend money but only increased his clout by fighting a bully.
Neither side lived happily ever after (Zack lost all his good will and fans while Waid got to work on DC again right when everything goes wrong for the industry in general and Warner Bros. in particular) but that fight was won by Zack in my book. He largely gained from the lawsuit (even if he lost everything later because he is an idiot) while Waid largely lost reputation and money.

Zack had a decent chance of winning because he could've called the Antarctic fellas as witnesses and have them testify that Waid called to threaten stuff if they went ahead and published Meyer's book (i.e. tortious interference). I do agree that Zack possibly gave up and accepted a settlement because he and Ethan were pilfering away the legal fund.

What if Waid's people found out about his pornstar past? Have we ever gotten an explanation how that just appeared here one day?
People started putting various comicsgaters thru the facial recognition search site Pimeyes and that turned up Zack's porno, Mandy's nudes, and Vic King's child molesting conviction. The site has existed since 2017 however so it's possible others knew. Remember the left wingers are all sex work is real work and no kink shaming so that's probably why nothing was said publicly.

Meyer being in the background of a porn vid would not really add much to Waid in court besides publicly exposing Meyer. If Meyer was really worried about being exposed, then the sensible thing to do would've been not to sue at all in the first place.
Never had an explanation about the porn vid linking in this thread besides inferring that someone who found the film and also knew what Meyer looked like linked it. And in my arrogant opinion that episode was worthier of featuring in the KF front page than Ed Piskor's suicide or Preston Poulter's cuckery (both of which got the thread featured unlike Zack's porn career).
But if it was done anonymously, and remember the vid was linked here through what seems a throwaway account, they could deny it was them humiliating Zack

It's all about has-beens who never really were and ex-mainstream hacks whose careers have been on downhill slides feeling entitled to having a constantly flowing money stream directed at them. I'll defend EVS on this. I don't think he intended for the CG crowdfund model to produce shit-tier quality books I think he and others grossly over-estimated the caliber of available artists waiting for the opportunity to jump on board. Most of the people unable to get hired in the mainstream when this started turned out not to be unhireable because of their politics but because they just aren't that good at the craft after all.
