I'll remind everyone she lives in nova scotia. a place where its virtually impossible to get lost and stranded out in the woods, where you can literally pick a direction and start walking and you will come to a road, house, town or coastline within a few hours at most. and thats on foot. There is no spot in the province thats more than 30 minutes away from the ocean by car. Its a fairly small province and literally the second most densely populated province in the country, second only to PEI, and thats cause PEI is a tiny fucking island. Hell there are more people in nova scotia than in fucking wyoming (and yet somehow the roads are always utter shit no matter where you go, go figure)

The irony here isn't just what you pointed out, its that she's clearly trying to imply the kind of submissiveness you'd see practiced in, say, a russian prison.
