The aspect of this whole situation that bothers me the most is how the parents are clearly only sorry they got caught, and underlying all of these interviews is this idea from them that they are going to put everything right back up once the controversy blows over. The PR firm post says that the parents seem truly remorseful and that they own up completely to their actions- contrast that with how they are still saying even today on GMA that it's (mostly) fake. They are shitty parents, yes, but their true crime is pushing their kids further than they normally would because they have a camera in their hand and making money off them in turn. It is so clear they don't want to let go of the chance they have to continue making money by fully apologizing and admitting they're wrong.

Also consider that they're doing interviews with Inside Edition and GMA because they're getting paid for those interviews.

No one was attacking the kids so if they were afraid, they were made to be afraid.

GMA also said the alleged college funds they had are gone... presumably because they decided to spend it on PR so they can still be youtube stars, instead of just going off the internet and fixing their shit.

If this becomes a criminal investigation, I think they're in big trouble with all the contradicting statements.

Even putting aside Mike's obvious mental health issues and history as an abuser, he's the worst role model ever... an overgrown child with no education or skills. But hey, he can make money by screaming at his kids on Youtube - whaddaguy! I also really don't understand all this "the outrage is hurting the kids!" Nobody has said jack shit about the kids, except for Jake. Pretty much everyone is in support of the kids. Again, it's like they're all trying to tug at our heartstrings.

Jake's assaults on Cody are by far the hardest to watch. Cody is literally screaming to the point of shooting out his voice and the dad does jack fucking shit about it. Just once I wish Jake's smugass face would get clobbered by someone bigger than him. Then he would know what it feels like to be beaten up with no way to fight back.

I wonder how the girls at school must feel about these videos. It must take a big man to beat up a small child.
