Kiwi Merch 2025

This is on short notice and I'm sorry but I'd still like to do merch for Halloween as I do each year. I am considering doing not-apparel this year because I do it every year. I am very resourceful and can get pretty much anything made, but generally something like mugs and posters are easier than plushies - and the more complicated stuff will probably take too much time to sort out.

An idea pitched for it was something Kiwiling related, maybe a mug. Kiwilings are little characters from the Wplace game that took over the entire northern peninsula of New Zealand. They're super low pixel versions of a Kiwi and are pretty cute, apparently they've grown on users.

Some people have suggested something Cobes related, but that's too recent. Maybe some sort of reference but that's it.

I'm open to anything at the moment. Something I'd actually buy and use myself is a huge desk mousepad with all sorts of little kiwiling art on it, but I don't know how viable that is.

Lolcows of history poster or deskmat? Would that be doable with kiwiling styling, or would that still be a potential lolsuit risk for likeness issues?

I would love a kiwi coaster of some kind. It could be a cute kiwi design, it could be lolcow related or it could be a design made by a creative kiwi.
Alternatively, anything "useful" but subtle. I love my two trick or treat shirts from last year, the extremely subtle TERF witch hamster is super cute and I wear it any time I'm able.

I've been admiring the lolcow poster background that we've had on the farms for .. quite some time now and while I don't know how feasible it is, a physical print of something similar might be of interest to someone else besides me. A poster, a 'zine, postcards. I can see myself displaying any of those.

Stickers we've done before and are super easy. I think we did eggshell stickers for the pandemic and people said they are basically indestructible and can still be found where they put them.

Something with tiled kiwilings would be nice. If you combine green / black tiles, they tile well, with beaks of one becoming the eyes of the opposite kiwiling. Its a SLIGHTLY different shape, but the effect is still cool.


I could see this be AMAZING if you wanted a pattern to be used all over for something. I could see this being the liner inside a bag, or hoodie, or something else. Its simple, and nothing too loud, but if you know, you know.

Is there kind of a deadline besides the obvious month of October itself for coming up with ideas or sharing mockups?
Some of the fellow kiwilings in the wplace thread are adept at 3d printing and making little arts and crafts that im sure would have pretty awesome input

I always thought the stickers we get on here should be backed by some kind of physical sticker currency. Perhaps they could be redeemed as such for a nominal fee. Then people wouldn't fling 'em around all half-assed like they don't mean anything.
