Yeah, I thought it was pretty low on the laughs, but that's probably because Doug is one of the most grounded members of Channel Awesome. I think Jim was more focused on documenting Doug's decline rather than his lulzier moments, which is understandable. I'm sure the videos focusing on the most exceptional CA members will be a lot funnier.

Which I actually appreciate, because I've never been a Nostalgia Critic/Channel Awesome fan and had no idea what the basics were. I'm really eager to see the rest of the series!

Definitely the best place to start off at. I remember watching a lot of the Channel Awesome content during 2012-2013, right about when Doug tried getting away from the Nostalgia Critic to do something different. Watched most of Demo Reel and thought it was okay at its best, and a backwards and terribly put together effort at its worst. I find it hard to blame Doug for wanting to do something bigger/better than being a angry online critic.

As for the others on the site, Spoony deserves the next video. His decline started around 2012/13 IIRC, beginning with him getting kicked off due to some stupid shit he said about a coworker.

I thought he was pretty fair with Doug. In the end, Doug's trapped by his Nostalgia Critic character. And when he tries to escape, it blows up in his face. He's basically obligated to keep doing NC episodes for site traffic and revenue.

I feel like he was actually pretty respectful towards Doug. And to be fair, as much of an unfunny hack Doug is I still do feel for him. I grew up watching his old reviews and they were entertaining at the time, though I had pretty shitty taste as a kid. Demo Reel was the great tipping point that brought about his downfall and I can imagine how frustrating it must be to be trapped playing the same character over and over. Trouble is he doesn't have the talent to create something new without it falling on its face. But yeah. Life's a piece of piss that way.

Lindsay, Linkara and maybe Todd or Jesuotaku are the big ones I'm looking for. Doug's got delusions of grandeur up the ass but I don't feel like he's personally that much of an asshole about them. The others have been parading around on their high horses for years and I'm ready to seen them get torn into.
