Yup, emergency custody. Mike apparently wasn't so cooperative and refused to give up their clothes and meds that they need (which isn't surprising) but they're at their mom's.
Thanks, but don't they have any other family like grandparents for the kids? The mother apparently has bipolar so she might be just as bad as the father. It doesn't surprise me that those two found eachother, after all birds of a feather flock together.

Financially, unless a miracle happens, this couple is going to struggle I should imagine - loss of his abuser earnings, custody battle (I presume), PR firm?, counselling? the rent in their new place is approx $3,000 (afaik).

I don't know if his one remaining video is monetised and her channnel is making very little if I've understood this correctly https://socialblade.com/youtube/channel/UCHckarmEbuCogN98ezY2oSQ

I feel a GoFundMe page campaign in the making.

Mike also has bipolar, but he is not medicated. Rose is medicated and is also able to hold a job. So from the most basic of comparisons I still think Rose is the better bet, not sure about any other extended family.

Also for anyone wondering about what their supporters have said, at a quick glance I couldn't find any commenting on the emergency custody situation. Might dig more later.

I am very happy that atleast some of the kids were taken back into custody, hopefully they will be able to live normal lives and be able to move on past everything that's happened to them.

As for that being said, these are some of the most despicable parents I've encountered, atleast the most despicable type. Profiting off of making their children suffer for entertainment purposes, in my eyes, is worse than murdering a child. What these parents did might actually fuck up their mental states and emotional states for life, hopefully they recover and can move on past it, but boy will that be hard.

Daddyofive, atleast know someone will be opening doors for you, somebody has to hold hell's gate open for you after all.

As normal as their lives could be when their abuse was extensively documented and covered on international news. As long as that's behind them, though.

It's not behind them. These kind of "high conflict" situations tend to play out over years and cause an enormous amount of insecurity and apprehension for kids. With luck, there'll at least be some agencies keeping an eye on these kids long after the media and the internet has forgotten them.

There's certain dose of cruelty in fact that this abuse was not only merely public, but broadcasted to million of people. Like, I understand unfortunately that kids who suffer abuse will mostly hide the very fact that they are abused because various reasons, mostly shame and probably fear from abusers.

I mean, you feel shame for shits you did when you were stupid teenager, I wonder how many therapy these kids will need for shit that they weren't even guilty of.

The real cruelty of it is that it was so public, publically hated, widely recognized as abhorrant psychological abuse, and then Child Protective Services watched the same videos and heard the same outcry, and said "Fine, we'll deal with it if we HAVE to. But only because you little bitches are so upset over like, basically nothing. Who even cares about video evidence if no nubile 13 year olds are being murder-raped by machetes? Didn't your parents slam you face first into bookcases when you were younger? It's just corporal punishment, bro!"

honestly, if mike was willing to withhold medication when the cops came to take Cody and Emma away, i can't imagine any judge thinking he's a fit parent and allowing him to have primary custody of the kids.
willing to put your children in medical danger just because you didn't get your way isn't exactly gold star parenting.

and considering Zopp is a firefighter (and from what i remember of his facebook, has more kids of his own with his new wife/girlfriend), something tells me the courts might prefer him over Lardo and Hick as well for emergency custody if he should go that route as well. Firefighters are generally more well respected in society than a pair of white trash hillbillies who spend their money frivolously and scream at their kids for more money.

So his fans are literal children who don't know any better. Glad its not people who aren't inherently fucking dumb.
But its the ignorant parents who are dumb for letting their kids watch this shit and those baby doll and toy channels. It's like they think the internet is a cool kid hangout, or it's all Club Penguin.

Because fiddling your underage sister is pretty lolcow material, and his sister (allegedly) only shut the fuck up in order to get YouTube bux. I want to see her reaction when money definitely stops flowing.

Just because Cody and Emma are in the hands of their biological mother doesn't mean this trailer park piece of shit isn't a lolcow.

I guess if you wanted the fucker in jail, statutory rape would be quicker than beating his kids, especially since Maryland child protective service apparently thinks beating your kids for fun and profit is perfectly fine.
