I’ve had a certain weird issue that’s been happening since sometime in 2025. It started at least 3 months ago but no more than maybe 6 months back. I want to say it may have begun in January, but can’t quite recall.

On some occasions after a KiwiFlare retarding, whatever page I’m currently reading will have to be refreshed, that’s all normal, but after the refresh, it’ll appear as though I’m logged out. When I refresh again for the 2nd time, the page I was on will revert back to showing I’m still logged in, (all post KiwiFlare refreshment.) It’s just something thing that happens that I’ve been monitoring myself, never happened before 2025, in my time using the forum. The frequency is at least a few times a week.

It’s not really bothersome, just odd, & I’m thinking it may be attached to a previous site update this year, having to do with sessions maybe? Idk, just mentioning it now in case this will be of some use, or there could be an easy fix, and any other need to know about the bug. Has happened on both Brave browser & Safari.

@Null, do you have any idea why this issue has been repeating for months?

Also, has anyone else noticed being shown as logged out, right after a KiwiFlare retarding, but if you refresh whatever page you were on (before the KiwiFlare retarding & subsequent f5,) you are still logged in and it wasn’t a force log out?

Because you haven’t commented yet, I would assume. I noticed when my account was young, I also couldn’t edit my poosts nor could I change too much about my account yet.

*edit* also, you can utilize the search function and limit it to specific threads like this one. So searching for keywords may make your stay easier. For example “can’t change bio” “can’t edit comments” “profile restrictions” etc.

Found an odd issue with possibly community highlighted posts. Highlighting is broken from this post onward it seems in the USPG 2 thread due to a post being deleted. It either goes to post not found or just does nothing from the top button.
 
Whenever I search for a specific word or topic, sometimes the results are just unrelated posts replying to members who have that word as their username. I wish there was an option to omit usernames from searches.

That's odd. I just tested it in Ungoogled Chromium 127.0 and the same things happen.

- Num 1 on any subpage takes me to the front page (kiwifarms.st)
- Num 5 takes me to the very top of the page and highlights "Registered members" in the "Members" menu
- Num 3 does the same with "General" in "Chat" menu
- Num 2 selects "New posts" in "Forums"

This is all with NumLock enabled.

I see the same behavior. The number keys jump to the top nav and select an item, with 1 for the first (Home), 2 for the second (Forums), etc. Items 3, 4, and 5 have menus of their own, which are opened when you press them.

Isn't that weird? I don't think I've ever come across a site that seems to have its own keyboard shortcuts. It could still be some kind of a weird coincidence, I dunno.

Num 1 is bound to global (works even if it's not in focus) volume+ adjustment in my foobar2000, so it's a problem for me.
 
The usernames of people who created threads are not showing up in the sidebar, as well as other info that I can't remember, but I know it wasn't so barren. I'm using Brave 1.83.112.

It must be a default Xenforo thing specifically because they work on the xenforo.com website as well.
 
Some older attachments are currently appearing like this (phonefagging)

They only appear if you click on the icon. This just started for me today on some threads.
 
Site is ACKing xitself.
Incredibly long loading times, "504 Gateway Timeout" errors, "The server did not respond in time" errors.
Brave Browser, Windows, PC, t-girl, 38, posting from Lesotho.
Tor Browser seems to exhibit the same problems.

EDIT: performance seems to have improved recently. Pages load normally, no errors.

Same. Some pages from my watched list two hours ago were taking over ten minutes to load, yet the next tab loaded almost instantly.

Seemed to be no real pattern - I was getting incredibly graphics heavy pages like transphobic and Terfy memes loading quickly, and mostly text threads like Balldo's taking ages.

edit to add: now multiple 502s in the space of five minutes.

Same as above, incredibly slow, tons of 502s. When I can get it, I'm seeing a number of double posts. Windows desktop.
