That was me who found him. I've heard people saw Janis Benda was Swedish and they have a lot of overlap, but Gizgiz was a different person who killed himself.
No clue where the german Janis Benda went.
I get the feeling there's a lot more zoosadists than we'll ever know. And that a lot of zoos are probably at least interested in sadism even if they never explore it.

This is such a shameful reality, that nothing will ever be done about some animal abusers, some just cant be found. They hide in plain sight and it's fucking terrifying. Imagine that it could be your coworker, your bus driver, your girlfriend. A grim reality. I wonder what percentage of zoophiles have acted out or have sadist fantasies towards animals

That's why it's important to do what you can to love and care for your own animals and keep them safe. Fewer roaming animals, or animals being given away "free to a good home", the fewer chances these people have to harm anything.

We had a huge issue with that in my area years back. The RCMP still insist there was no dog fighting rings, even though there was a literal dog-stealing epidemic of small breed, trusting dogs...
Also, a lot of people assumed the dogs were being resold for profit? It was a weird time.

Gizgiz was named Mikael Thörncrantz.
I don't think k9bitchlover is Janis Benda. K9bl is Swedish and was sentenced to 1 year in prison and a 5 year ban on owning animals. You might find his name by looking through articles from 2010-11.

I know that the one website that had a ton of info on him does put the name Janis Bender (apparently I've been mis-spelling it) to K9bitchlover.
It's in German but here is where I found that info. The site is partially archived and provides some interesting context, such as the fact he was released from jail but owned animals immediately after regardless of the rules.

Yeah, the online alias and the irl name seem to have more strings tying each other together than to other people.
Gizgiz’s death definitely rules him out as being K9BL anyway, as I’m pretty sure Janis’ arrest was after Giz became pavement food.

Part of me sometimes wonders if K9BL/Janis/whatever he’s going by has actually passed away or been imprisoned for a long stint over something else. Guy’s activity seemingly went dead almost overnight, and for someone like him, you’d think he’d still be torturing animals and posting shit online given even the slightest chance. Don’t quote me on this, but I feel like I read somewhere many pages back that dude was doing drugs? So there’s a good a chance as any that he may have overdosed and done the world a favour.

The pastebin adds up to previously accounted for info, only difference is the ??? Collie I believe has been identified as a dog called Ayla who appeared in some videos?

I’m just horrified by the concept of the images you’ve mentioned. I can’t even begin to fathom what those dogs endured.

It seems he was around for a bit and was making more videos, and was getting more violent with his content (the black and white stills animal pi had were of something completely unknown but if he started killing animals that's a huge change), and was going under aliases to harass the people who got him arrested.

It's also known he had a girlfriend and was travelling.

I hope he's dead but we have no way to know sadly.

I'm still unsure if he's Swedish? I know it was a german animal rights group who got his ass.

Had a bit of a mooch through the past pages on this thread that mentioned him and so far all we got is:

-The first reference of K9BL’s content being linked to Benda was in that post where they said ZETA deliberately befriended him. They mentioned that one Janis Benda was the person responsible for the “german sheperd” (sic) video, which is the Boss video made by K9BL. So by assuming that Janis Benda did this, we can assume he’s also K9BL.

-Last known location was Bremen in 2016, so we ain’t got shit on him after that. Considering the sort of person he is, I feel like if he was still actively harming animals at this point then even a tiny bit of the content would have been found online because he couldn’t help himself posting it.

The only real thing I can see that would point to him being Swedish is the reddit post earlier where someone talked about him making the videos and Boss being dead. Other than that, all evidence points to him most likely being either German, or Swedish living in Germany at the time he inflicted his most notorious abuse on animals.

It just sucks majorly that he, and quite a lot of people who’d know him/have info on him, have just…dropped off the radar entirely.
With him, I’d say he either got more cautious about posting his shit after his arrest (unlikely), had some kind of come-to-god moment and had a full change of heart (very fucking unlikely, if not impossible), he’s gotten better at opsec and is careful to which sites he posts his abuse content (a possibility), or he’s dead (also a possibility). I’m not a gambling Tamagotchi, but I’d put money on one of the last two options being the case.

Illone Sheppypaws also stated he was Swedish but it could be he lied about where he was from online to cover his tracks.

He made a lot of videos in the past, was known to have made more after release that have never been seen (but they showed his face) and then vanished.

My theory is that Male-and-female was him and a girlfriend. And that he may have passed by now. But unless he pops up or someone who knew him does, we'll never know.

Out of curiosity, how’d you come about that theory? From what I remember, MaF were French or had some link to a French speaking country if I remember correctly. Plus, as much as Benda has killed animals in the past (I believe one of the prior Beastforum threads on a past page said he threw Boss down the stairs and he died of his injuries?) knives never really seemed to be his MO, and the MaF stuff mentioned in this thread involved them using knives on a dalmatian dog and skinning it in a bathtub.
Not saying it’s out of the realm of possibility though, and it’s real funny how the MaF talk only really started when we brought Benda up in the thread.

After I learned he had a girlfriend who lived out of Germany and had to travel to see her.
Bender himself was into torture and suffering, but who's to say he didn't meet a girl into knives and dogs?
Regardless, they only got to 2 dogs that i know of and the titles are reminiscent of stuff k9bl wrote:

Much like Tim Win, the names are pretty easy to put to the content creator.

However, not enough is known on MaF to make an actually identifying claim, so who knows. Seems Bender had enablers and friends in 2016 so could be a friend of his, or an unrelated sadist couple who only did this twice and stopped.

Just my 2 cents so far but it seems that there is only 1 Janis Benda who lives in Germany. I would even say that there is only 1 Janis Benda worldwide and if that's
the case then he's still alive & active on the clearnet. Just do a search on his name in the most popular search engines and you'll get his phone nbr + address.

That adds up to the timeline then, because as far as I’m aware the last knowledge we have of him is him being in Bremen in 2016. So assuming the info you have is indeed him, and he isn’t bullshitting/practising a modicum of opsec (though with a username similar to his name, doesn’t seem like that’s much like his favourite pastime), he was in Lower Saxony in 2011-2012.

So we have connections with Bremen, Lower Saxony and Lilienthal, all from around that time. Possibly Sweden too but we don’t know if that’s a red herring Benda’s thrown out or not. Did a little googling and Lilienthal appears to be smack bang in the middle, and he said he lived in a “very rural area”, plus it’s covered by the province of Lower Saxony, and borders Bremen.
So my thinking is that’s where he was based doing all this specifically, and using Lower Saxony and Bremen as larger umbrella areas to make it slightly less easy to find him.

I feel pretty confident that the above was indeed Benda, though from translating that German on the site, the Bremen address was only accurate as of 2012? So we can’t verify anything later than that, but if the posts and reviews are correct in being from him then he may very well still be alive and in Germany.
There are other people I’ve found with the name Janis Benda through my googling, but they all appear to be Polish/Czech/very much Not German and I don’t think they’re him.


ETA: The review he was leaving on the Trustpilot site appears to be for a dog food company/dog related company of some sort. So he’s still very likely to be owning and by extension torturing dogs, well as of 2021 at least.
