This is a major issue almost no one is talking about. It's absurd that an entire USA industry is majority foreign owned.
I'd be curious to know how much Dot Indian ownership is because they're squeezing out everyone else out of the market and how much of it is because everyone else doesn't want to run hotels for whatever reason. With too many entitled Karens running around, hospitality isn't as attractive for many business owners these days.
The dems forced the shutdown to try and get healthcare subsidies extended which would mostly go to illegal aliens. They did not get those.
The extended subsidies would also give the same maximum amount to everyone regardless of income even when Dems otherwise insist those making more money need to pay their "fair share."
I don't want to get into the weed thing, I really hate even talking about it. You can't be friends with a pothead if you're not on it too.
I think it's largely dependent on one's circle of friends. I know pot users who respect their non-pot using friends by having discreet rooms to smoke in and not trying to pressure them into joining them for a doobie if and when they say no.
I'd suspect part of it is the modern idea that people need to like 100% of the same thing otherwise they can't be friends or have anything else in common with each other.
WHO controls our government? Jews? The Irish? The Deep State? Q? No! It's BIG ALCOHOL! Special interest with the most money and influence.
FTFY.
I feel like we need to stop making weed a crime but do need to go back to making it socially unacceptable.
To some extent, the fact some states with legal weed are seeing a big drop in sales might already suggest the people curious enough to try it once it's legal aren't interested in using it long term once the initial novelty fades. Perhaps instead of making it socially unacceptable, it needs to be something encouraged behind closed doors.
In an effort to stop scammers, the FCC is going to make it so that only American phones can have American area codes. A side effect is that offshore call centers will be forced to use their local phone numbers instead of pretending to be American with a local/1-800 number:
There's not enough

for this. However,I wonder if this is related to the change in caller ID information I'm getting on my phones over the last 48 hours where any caller not in my contact list now shows up as (State abbreviation) Call instead of something else as it did before.
Many people don't even answer the phone anymore because our politicians have simply done nothing about this problem.
This is definitely true. There are too many incoming calls from generically-labeled and spoofed numbers to justify answering them any more. I know a widow who got more after their husband died as if the scammers are trying to rip her off. Similarly, someone who recently joined AARP is now getting calls for Medicare even though they aren't yet old enough. That information is being sold, circulated, or even compromised somehow; and scammers are taking full advantage. I can't see politicians doing anything about this of their own free will.
