And that's without taking into account how many of them were not edited in the long run. I hate having to read a page, wondering why the fuck recent exploits are chronicled and why there's still a bunch of broken images.

That said, I haven't been very entertained by their content in a long time. Doing tons of "Chanology" and "Gamegate" shit over the years have caused a lot of their better content-creators to get tired of it.

Depends on whether the servers are also going to be affected in the lawsuit as either evidence or not. We don't know the full details yet, so this could be a perma-end for them.

I hope ED doesn't get killed by this dude. I don't visit much but I had laughs there and I'm sure there's still some good content (just seems a little cringy now)

He looks like he may just be one for legal warfare, suing without merit and hoping that the mere act will make people and organizations cave (which is often will, thanks to high legal costs of defense: hence "anti-SLAP" legislation in some states)

We should probably start archiving the fuck out of stuff we consider important (things like Laurelai's wife's letter aren't widely found online). They've survived takedown attempts before, but it's never guaranteed.

If they actually complied with a DMCA and this cocksucker sued them anyway, it's unlikely to be prolonged litigation. Still, they're looking at something like $5-10K minimum upfront just to defend it, and even if it turns out to be a SLAPP where they can get fees against this scumbag, he's probably a judgment-proof NEET with nothing better to do than file frivolous lawsuits against randos.

From my understanding they did take it down but it briefly reappeared when they migrated hosts/servers and that's his basis for suing.

It's unclear whether or not he's blown through all his money. Even if he hasn't, he may have made his assets effectively untouchable.

The resident ED lawyers are telling zaiger he at least needs to file an answer to avoid a default judgement.

If he isn't completely retarded, he'll at least do that. Even if it's only to explain as a pro se defendant that wtf man this is bullshit or something on that level and just to raise the issue that they complied with the DMCA and this cocksucker is suing them anyway.
