You might not want to. the unit price is cheap but thats because you have buy them by the literal pallet, they won't sell you ones-twos and you're looking at 5-figure initial outlay, PLUS transport costs.

Let me see if I can find one. There was some MRE reseller who explained how they could sell "NOT FOR RESALE" MREs and why their price was so low (aka "its not a scam, they just just might not last you 10 years"). They explained to get their per-unit cost as low as possible they bought their lots by bidding on literal 40x8x8 BYO Shipping Container or Flatbed lots, and you could enjoy extra savings by buying around auction time when they are very interested in clearing warehouse space.
And they went to some auction in Alabama.

There are no active auctions, but looks like $40-50K for 576 MREs earlier this month and was down in the $30k range in september.

The MRE reseller guys bid on shit like this:
That is 106,168.00 for 153 PALLETS of MREs. That is 153 x 576 MREs, or about $1.13 per MRE (before needing to pick up and haul them away). This is because the inspect date was Oct 2025.

What would be the point in this? If there's some sort of secret cabal that secretly runs all protests everywhere, I doubt they would decide to leave a few clues that would allow a keen-eyed schizo to unmask them. It's like a Zelda dungeon where the bad guy inexplicably hides the key to defeating him behind 10 puzzles you need ice arrows to solve, and also leaves a chest full of ice arrows lying around.

Okay, so DOGE claimed savings of $52.8 billion (politico). The bill that was passed to codify DOGE cuts was the Rescissions Act of 2025. It rescinds $7.9 billion in funding from international assistance programs and $1.1 billion in funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

Drop Site News claims to be 'reader-supported' while being billionaire-funded​


The left-wing philanthropy funded by George Soros, Open Society Foundations, gave $250,000 to establish a Middle East desk at Drop Site News, an anti-Israel news startup that touts itself as a "reader-supported" purveyor of "completely independent" journalism.

Open Society Foundations said the grant, awarded last year, would help "bridge a crucial information gap in independent journalism" in the Middle East, according to its spending database.

Drop Site has not disclosed funding from the Open Society Foundations, of which Soros’s son Alex took control in 2022. In its fundraising pitches, Drop Site requests donations through Social Security Works Education Fund, an obscure nonprofit that aims to "educate the general public, media, and policy-makers about the benefits of protecting social security benefits." The organization serves as the "fiscal sponsor" for Drop Site, allowing donors to make tax-deductible contributions to the outlet, which does not have tax-exempt status from the IRS.

The Open Society Foundations funneled its contribution to Drop Site through the Social Security Works Education Fund, earmarked "to support establishing a Drop Site News MENA desk to to [sic] bridge a critical information gap in independent journalism."

Drop Site has provided little coverage of Social Security, or any other domestic entitlement programs. Instead, its bread-and-butter has been coverage of the Israel-Hamas war, from a decidedly anti-Israel viewpoint.

Soros is just the latest liberal billionaire to bankroll the Drop Site proprietors.

Grim and Scahill worked for The Intercept, the left-leaning outlet funded by eBay founder Pierre Omidyar until 2022. Grim, who recently stated that "no sane society would have billionaires," was paid $410,000 by The Intercept last year. Scahill made $300,000, according to tax filings.

Social Security Works Education Fund, Drop Site, and the Open Society Foundations did not respond to requests for comment.
