I'm pretty sure it was originally intended for people with hormonal imbalances and menopausaul women. My post-menopausal mother is on HRT. I doubt anyone who created HRT had troons in mind. But I don't know the whole history of it.
I think their argument would be that they were repressed by society until recently. Given that trooning out has been fashionable for at least a decade at this point, though, it’s becoming harder and harder to justify.

Women, especially single women, treating themselves to their favourite meal at a restaurant is so normal. It's funny to see her make a thing out of it but granted, that's internet pathology for you. Your latte didn't exist if you didn't post it, she obviously couldn't have used going out to eat as a pick-me-up without telling people about it.
