It's wrong to say Hindenberg Research went out of business. Nate Anderson seemingly closed shop volunterily because he just got tired of running it himself and offered the tools for research he used to expose companies (and short them in the process).

Not to mention, Nate can actually sleep at night knowing he did some good, exposing shit companies like Nikola and Adani, wherein this fucker probably has a stiff drink and zzquil to take a nap knowing one day the bubble will burst.

This is objectively true. Money, the power that comes with it in excess, and access to just about every single thing you've ever wanted instantly brings out absolutely the worst possible traits of a person. Couple this with the fact that overwhelming majority of CEOs are genuine psycho/sociopaths and it's not too shocking why so many of them are amoral and aethical fucksticks who have zero capacity to care about how they make a dollar.

TLDR: getting kids as customers is easy because they're fucking stupid and impressionable and Roblox management knows this and much like the people who operate gacha/sports gambling apps are living off of what is effectively "blood diamond" money (or blood money for simplicity sake)

Kids are absolutely a HUGE market, bigger than you would think.
You know what the most played game of all time ? It's not Tetris, or even Minecraft.
It's motherfucking Steal A Brainrot, a Roblox game. I've tried it because my little cousin kept pestering me about time.
It's an empty shell of a game with literally NO GAMEPLAY, and only shitty gambling mechanics as its core loop, filled to the brim with stuff your kids can pay for using the robux money they got for christmas to gain a slight (and very temporary) edge that they are too young to be able to use properly.
The sheer amount of money you can make with a Roblox game is insane. It all relies on kids being too dumb to understand the real value of money and spending their Christmas money on random pointless shit in games they'll only play for 1-2 hours like a Guinean worker just out of the cobalt mines wastes his paycheck on alcohol and random shit because he doesn't know any better.
It's like how e-thots are now a huge part of Twitch's ecosystem, despite showing their asses on a website meant for gaming and kids. Because all the other sites are oversaturated, they have to insert themselves where they don't belong to stand a chance to survive. It's kinda like some sort of ecological dead-end species that you sometimes in palaeontology, that somehow survived in a small niche somewhere after being out-competed everywhere else yet just refusing to die.
One day, it's gonna collapse on itself.

Not as long as kids continue playing it. I know entire families whose children do absolutely nothing BUT play what's on the front page of Roblox.
The ONLY way Roblox is going to fail is if they're strong-armed into shutting down directly by government or through brute-force legal process.

The founder of Hindenberg Research, the investment researchers that published that exposé on Roblox's predatory monetization policies and child endangerment, has low set ears too. Also attended a Jewish Orthodox day school at one point and lived in Israel for a time.

His ears do not look below his eyeline to me, at least not from this picture. I'm talking about ears that are below your eyeline.

Edit: I'm mobilefagging, so the lines I drew aren't exact, but I hope this helps to demonstrate the difference:

Thanks to Windows 11 bloatware, I see that game every time I open the control panel. It seems to have a standalone version as well? because you can play it without using Roblox which makes no fucking sense to me (as an old player)
