reddit General

Without checking I'll bet that the mods of r/art also mod a dozen or more other subreddits so losing one isn't that big of a deal.
It could also be that, being petulant children, the smug satisfaction of throwing their toys around and screaming is also an impulse they can't help but give into, even if it doesn't serve their longterm goals.

Maybe they're so delusional, they expect either le redditors or maybe even site admins to beg them to come back. The mind of a reddit jannoid works in mysterious and often incredibly dumb ways.

Reddit has a thing where it takes issues that a lot of people suffer from and makes it into a circlejerk of depression and despair. Just about any sub related to chronic illnesses are like this along with r/shortguys or any other of what I call male insecurity communities.
See also: r/thanksimcured. Originally meant to mock people whose solution to depression was "try being happier", now nothing but a bunch of miserable, obese drug addicts who get very upset when you suggest that maybe they could improve their lives with the barest amount of effort. They've made being unhappy into an immutable personality trait. It's like the mental illness equivalent of deaf people who think medical treatments for deafness are a form of genocide.

They would have us believe that they spend four hours a day "cooking and cleaning". They're fooling nobody but themselves.

Why would Reddit mods give up their powerful position? Aren't they power hungry and want to be in that position? There must have been similar unknown cases where this had happened.
They also have an impressively sizable ego, and nothing would get their jollies off more than someone from the reddit high command pantheon reaching down and humbly ask them to take up the mantle again.

:wow: Holy crap, the r/simpsonsshitposting subreddit is so insufferably political. And political in a soy way. Just scrolling through I found one celebrating the death of Dick Cheney, and another mocking the non-SJWs objecting to the Robert E Lee statue base being demolished. And another poking fun at Charlie Kirk's wife. Plenty of Orange Man Bad.
It was a fun place a long time ago.

Hey now, remember, it takes these guys an hour just to peel potatoes. By the time they’ve cooked and washed up, it’s already 2am.

If they stopped messing about on their phones they’d be surprised how quickly they can get all the errands done. The real reason for blaming work for a shitty life is that they’re not even capable of coming up with a dream to follow in the first place. They’re usually also paid above their worth, and if they switch jobs to something more rewarding, they will have to take a pay cut for a while. It makes sense to stay in a job you hate to provide for your family, but not when it’s just wasted on takeout and Nintendo games.

>be a huge shit to someone
>you get some shit back

how could this be happening? Niggerman, save me!

If all moderators are bailing then what do they get out of that? It just seems like an unlikely thing for reddit mods to do.
I think they're afraid they'll lose this battle. Has some strong "you can't fire me, I quit" energy.

There's a pinned post which received quite some downvotes.

I heard people talking about how redditors are losing it over Arc Raiders because people kill them in a PvP game instead of wholesome epic roleplay and man they sound genuinely insane in these posts. One guy was saying that if you trick and kill people in a video game it makes you a bad person in real life and its just full of people crying because they were tricked by a guy just saying "hey I'm friendly"

Apparently they didn't. According to subredditdrama the head janny shat the bed, de-modded all the others, then went to cry in the corner.

Horrifyingly, constantly getting takeout would actually be an improvement. They order doordash. They're spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars a month just on delivery fees because they're too lazy to go pick up food that someone else made for them. Then they'll complain that they don't have any money and that they're out of shape.

Even when I was at my lowest, basically a shut-in, I still went and got my food. I'd rather be depressed than broke and depressed.

People actually playing a PVP game with PVE as a PVP game with PVE? Impossible! People lie about being friendly all the time in that type of game, whether it’s ARC, Tarkov or Day Z. Human players just add another layer to the chaos and thats part of the experience.

Nut up or get fucked up.

Here again we see the phenomenon of "Oh I'm a little like X, I must have Y!"
Someone with ARFID, who really has ARFID, has an extreme, uncontrollable, physiological reaction. It's similar to misophonia in that you can see and measure their reaction with a spike in blood pressure, sweating, panic responses, etc. [...]
Oh, is ARFID foodophobia/misofoodia? As a fellow misophonic, I can attest to the reaction to a trigger sound being both irrational and immediate, despite you being aware of its irrationality.

Would the world improve if we just launched every redditor into the sun?

Solos is super peaceful and the only people who are actually trying to kill other players are brand new players because they dont know yet that most solo players are just running quests and have no actual valuables on them.
I prefer aggressive new players existing though because it leads to funny interactions where they catch you off guard, you run away and run into another friendly player, and you both end up hunting for that guy.
