He's never going to be the ethereal, fragile, delicate little girl-elf he dreams of being, but he's also very far from being the testosterone-dripping alpha male he keeps claiming to be. If he shaved the beard and put a bit of effort into his appearance (especially covering the bad luck baldness) he could probably pass enough for most situations. He makes it sound like people are going to confront him any time he tries to present as female on the grounds of his unmissable masculinity, but that really doesn't seem plausible from his pictures.

But maybe it's just that he realises that Zoe definitely wouldn't want to fuck Girl!Jake, while Alpha Male Jake 'Testosterone' Alley who oozes overt masculinity from every pore of his body is primed and ready for the moment senpai notices him like she noticed so many before him...

I feel like people like Jake that latch onto transgender identities so they can speak over and creep onto women should be subjected to a test where you take a random sampling of women and just show them a picture of the dude and a sampling of their thirsty internet postings, and then ask those women if they would feel safe being alone on an elevator with such a person.

Maybe it'd serve as a wake-up call to the people in the transgender community who ignore these assholes and let them fester. I'd like to think most trans women would not allow natal women to feel as unsafe as they feel they are.

Gatekeeping is needed.

Their response to this is that cis women's comfort is not more important than trans women's safety. They never mention the shockingly high rate of trans on trans violence. They rarely mention the number of trans women who claim to have been raped by other trans women.

They invoke the stranger danger spectre in a manner which masks the reality of the circumstances in which they're most likely to suffer interpersonal violence. By focusing on the less likely scenarios, they lessen their ability to address the more likely ones.
