We did some checking, and from what I understand, the statute of limitations doesn't run out until her 30th birthday. She's in her early 20s. But she would have to testify against him because he could easily play the "it was just a fantasy card".

Yes. Her mom knew about it early on, but didn't care. It was the grandma that forced an end to it. The cops were called, but no charges were filed. Jimbo thinks this is because they thought he didn't do anything wrong. I suspect it was more the mother told the daughter not to cooperate.

He has the delusion many child molesters have that the children are actually pursuing them. They interpret normal children's behavior as sexual when it is most definitely not. Keep in mind the age he's attracted to doesn't even know what sex is, let alone how to entice someone. Remember how he said the 9-year-old raped him? Yeah, lots of molesters try to claim the child was the instigator. And that can happen, but only if the child has been previously abused. Even so, normal people would recognize it's their duty to say no and report the matter to the proper authorities.

While I think it is unlikely Jimmy will get picked up for his rape, we know for a fact he's looked at child porn. We also know he's made inappropriate comments to minors and may have sent them dick pics. He'll keep doing it because he hasn't faced consequences for it. Eventually, he'll do it to some kid whose parents do report it, and want him prosecuted.

I think in general his interpretation of "first move" is whatever makes him feel as though he is not accountable for his actions. He changes his story about the little girl practically every time he brings it up, based on how he perceives he is being attacked. Just the other day he said that she "eventually requested" being touched, which contradicts nearly everything he said previously.

What he fails to comprehend is that it doesn't matter who initiated contact. The adult is still responsible for their actions, because they held the power in the scenario. Because the power dynamic between a molester and a child is based on age differences that dramatically define cognitive capabilities and thus understanding of consent, it is irreversible, regardless of who initiates the contact. His line of thinking is horribly deluded, and probably underscores most of his beliefs about sex and the value of women, unfortunately.
