A federal agent shot and killed a Minneapolis motorist when she allegedly tried to run over law enforcement officers during an immigration crackdown in the city, authorities said Wednesday.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot the woman in her vehicle in a residential neighborhood in Minneapolis, Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

Video posted online showed the vehicle crashed in a residential neighborhood. The shooting drew throngs of angry protesters to the scene in an area that is the latest target of the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.

Follow live coverage of the shooting from MPR News in Minneapolis.

There was a large presence of federal and local officers, yellow police tape and cars that had been in a crash in the residential neighborhood. Gregory Bovino, a senior U.S. Customs and Border Patrol official who has been the face of crackdowns in Los Angeles, Chicago and elsewhere, was among the group.

“We are aware of a shooting involving federal law enforcement near East 34th Street and Portland Avenue. Please avoid this area,” the city government said on X.

In a scene similar to the Los Angeles and Chicago crackdowns, bystanders didn't hold back in venting their anger, blowing whistles, taunting the federal agents.

“Shame! Shame! Shame!” and “ICE out of Minnesota!” they loudly chanted from behind the police tape, referring to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

After the shooting, Mayor Jacob Frey said immigration agents were “causing chaos in our city.”

“We are demanding ICE leave the city and state immediately. We stand rock solid with our immigrant and refugee communities," Frey said on social media.

The area where the shooting occurred is a modest neighborhood south of downtown Minneapolis, just a few blocks from some of the oldest immigrant markets in the area and a mile from where George Floyd was killed by police in 2020.

“We’ve been trying to live life as fully as possible in light of the fear and anxiety that we feel,” said the Rev. Hierald Osorto, pastor at St. Paul’s-San Pablo Lutheran Church, which has a predominantly Latino congregation in the area.

The Immigration Defense Network, a coalition of groups serving immigrants in Minnesota, held a training session Tuesday night for about 100 people who are willing to hit the streets to monitor the federal enforcement.

“I feel like I'm an ordinary person, and I have the ability do something so I need to do it,” Mary Moran told KMSP-TV.

The Department of Homeland Security said Tuesday that it had launched an extraordinary immigration enforcement operation, with 2,000 agents and officers expected in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area for a crackdown tied in part to allegations of fraud involving Somali residents.

I actively hope you people find yourselves on the receiving end of the extrajudicial police behavior you vehemently try to justify.
I've been arrested multiple times in my life. I cooperated and nothing happened because I'm retarded but not totally retarded enough to floor it and hit an officer standing directly in front of my car like this lady was.

They weren't in immediate danger, the vehicle is stationary right next to them and when it moves the vehicle is turning away from them. You keep telling me WHY he shot, I'm telling you it isn't justified because he made a mistake.
She was arguing with armed federal agents that were giving her orders. Argue with them in court not on the side of the road. I don't think anyone's really mentioned how those agents are surrounded by screaming retarded people that would feel righteous for taking them out. A highly crowded area + a bitch thats blocking the road driving crazy is just unsafe man, its a hard call in that situation. Just watch any body cam video with a big crowd of niggers chimping out and 1 or 2 cops trying to figure out what the fuck to do, that shit makes me sweat watching.

Pretty sure the left wants people to die so they can try to stop deportations with flash riots in the future.

I've noticed this as a common theme and I have a different take. I don't think she was radicalized by her wife or if she was, it was minor and she was already looking to be more left.

Ive noticed that people (not always on the left) will simply hide their political feelings around people close to them (or people they can't avoid) if they don't agree. Often others simply think they are non political because they aren't investing effort into it.

The fact she ended up abandoning two families speaks to her deep dissatisfaction with her surroundings.
Sure, I don't think she was brainwashed or anything. She was obviously very attracted and smitten with a woke lesbian, so she would have already been leaning left if not hard left. She wrote poetry and had a degree in English, so I think it's almost a given.

I don't think what the parents mean by "not political" isn't that she had no political opinions, but that she wasn't loud about them, wasn't going to protests, etc... Her identity didn't center on politics. If you asked her opinion on a political matter she'd probably give a left-leaning answer but she wasn't spouting off about politics all the time or aggressive about it. The same might not be true of her wife. Just not being an loud, obnoxious asshole makes people almost seem apolitical in today's world or you could describe them as "not political" just for not being aggressive or loud about their opinions.

I think saying she abandoned two families is a huge stretch since we have no idea what actually happened with either marriage. The second husband had "PTSD" and they both moved in with her parents after having a baby. Got to be hard if your husband is too depressed to work and becomes suicidal while you are caring for an infant.

Definitely sounds like after two failed marriages with men she was ready to try a new way. The move to Minneapolis, and away from her family, sounds like it was part of a reinvention after a disastrous second marriage. The suicide of the second husband makes me think some really volatile shit and messy shit made her eager to change the status quo. Who knows if it would have been for better or worse, because I know nothing about the circumstances.

People want to make strangers political cartoon characters, but it’s a requirement when they are at the victim of a political firestorm.

The more likely scenario is you will be on the receiving end when you take this sperg out offline and harass ICE agents. Be sure to have your husband film it for our enjoyment.

You bootlicking identity politics obsessed losers are so desperate to "She was no angel" this random mother it's pathetic. You faggots are the definition of the NPC chip meme, you wait until daddy Trump and his goons give you your new data chip so you can start regurgitating state propaganda.
Sorry your girlfriend's head got split like a canoe with three hollow point rounds :(

The cognitive dissonance in this thread is truly amazing.
In the first few pages, you faggots were going
>"hurr hurr i bet it was a dumb low iq somali trying to run over ICE wuznt it? i hope they shot that somali bitch real gurd hurr hurr"
but then Trump, Noem, Vance, etc came out with their narrative and it became:
>"That blue haired libtard bitch was 100% DEFINITIVELY a protestor trying to murder those poor defenseless ICE agents using her deadly SUV, look at her wheels pointing away from them and the officer drawing his gun at the drivers' side window, this is an attack on our godking president!!"
but then it came out that it was a white mother of three:
>"Obviously a mother of three near a school zone was a dedicated antifa supersoldier riot agent who began her mission to murder as many ICE agents as possible! How foolish of her to encounter an ICE deployment in a neighborhood!"
and now that more information and testimonies from her family and friends is out, and videos like this very fucking clearly show her motioning for all of the ICE agents to proceed past her:
You are literally doing the 1984 meme of trust not your eyes and ears but the party. You shall get a doubleplus chochlate for your bellyfeel.

her motioning for all of the ICE agents to proceed past her:
This precisely demonstrates the issue - she had no business trying to tell ICE agents what to do. As a very typical Woke Wahmens, she thought that rules and law didn't apply to her, because she'd been able to get away with her shitty behaviour for so long.
If she had not interfered with ICE agents doing their jobs and if she had simply done what she was told, she wouldn't have got herself shot.
She deserved it.

The fact that you think she is excused because "she waved to them to walk past her" just tells us what kind of idiot you are.

Hey, at the least the shooter got Charlie to lean left on the issue of gun control for once in his life. That's commendable, in a way, right?
Right back at you buddy 😘. Hopefully a lot more of your comrades get their gray matter splattered by law enforcement.

Every time I see an anti-ICE post in this thread, this image will come to mind.

Are you deranged? No amount of testimony form friends or family mean you should be able to run over someone with your car. Of course her friends and family are going to say things like "she emitted good energy and did nothing wrong".

So she was deputized to give orders to ICE? How much crack did you smoke before you posted this?

Resonable fear for your life, so yes.
If I were on a jury, I'd say dropping someone doing ND intentionally in any circumstance outside of strictly instructional purposes is reasonable fear for your life and others. Same goes for some cunt swinging/brandishing a knife around with wreckless abandon or being dangerously negligent of saftey while in a several ton machine on wheels.

Woulda shoulda coulda. She did X. He did Y. It's all irrelevant.

In the US, which is not a dictatorship by any stretch of the imagination, if you don't like a particular law or the enforcement of it, then you must use lawful ways to challenge and address it. That is your responsibility. That's your half of the social contract. You resist or fight in lawful ways. In court. Or with votes. Or even by buying politicians or making a spectacle of yourself in public. Those are legal, non risky means. Civilized means. You do not challenge law and its enforcement by fucking around and blocking ICE agents with your SUV while your GF makes videos. Or if you do decide to go the fun and exciting civil disobedience route, then you do so knowing that you are putting yourself substantially at risk of bodily harm.

That woman was an entitled, idiot AWFL who didn't grasp that you don't get to:
  1. Criminally obstruct LEOs enforcing laws you don't like, even if what you're doing is well intended and heartfelt "protest".
  2. Defy the authority of LEOs after they've cornered you.
  3. Assume LEOs are psychic and can read your mind as you press on the gas pedal instead turning off your vehicle and raising your hands.
  4. Trust that the LEOs aren't going to shoot you because you're a panic stricken middle class white female who just wants to drive away from the terrifying scene you fucked around and got yourself into.

Believing that you can do any one of those without any risk to yourself is a luxury belief. Believing that she could and should do any of those actions without any risk to herself is also a luxury belief. Everyone needs to get real here. LEOs carry guns and take matters seriously. If something goes awry, escalates, whatever, then everyone flips into the fog of war. Split second decisions are made and involuntary reactions occur. No one is psychic. No one is under any obligation to trust the other party. Bad, tragic shit can and will happen.

She would not be dead if she honored and upheld her end of the social contract and did not break laws and interfered with the LEOs to make her "protest" point. But even then, at any moment in that series of unfortunate events all she had to do was surrender and submit to their authority and live to fight another day. In court. Or by using the democratic process. She didn't.

Devoted Christian living in sin, married to a woman.
Hey, remind me what Mary Magdalene, one of Jesus Christ's most devoted followers' occupation was?
You are literally doing the 1984 meme of trust not your eyes and ears but the party.
This is what I meant when I said the cognitive dissonance in this thread is amazing, you are quite literally regurgitating the lies of the Republican Party (Trump, Vance, Noem, etc), the people actively in fucking charge, yet you don't see the irony in your post.
This precisely demonstrates the issue - she had no business trying to tell ICE agents what to do. As a very typical Woke Wahmens, she thought that rules and law didn't apply to her, because she'd been able to get away with her shitty behaviour for so long.

Yes of course, the next time you try and motion another driver to move, they have the right to blow your brains out for trying to give them commands.

As we all know, immigration agents (who aren't police officers btw) are all scared little forest does who can legally murder you at the slightest motion that startles them. Even if that motion was clear, understandable, and happened literal minutes before they decided to shoot you.

and now that more information and testimonies from her family and friends is out, and videos like this very fucking clearly show her motioning for all of the ICE agents to proceed past her:
Yeah, doing a U-Turn in a one way street makes a lot more sense.
You really got us.

When law enforcement tells you to step out of the vehicle, you step out of the vehicle.
If they mistook her for someone else, then it can be cleared up later. You do not fight law enforcement at the side of the road.
Fleeing in a vehicle is a felony. Do not do that.
