Honestly I don't feel like she should have even bothered making it.

I disagree, lots of people were asking for her to say something. Even if there’s not much of substance in it it provides verification for things that we previously only knew through second hand sources. It corroborates the story of the accusers in a few ways, with regards to his attraction to women with mental illnesses and the blackmail folder specifically. She also directly states she is not discrediting anyone else nor discounting the fact he may have gotten worse after their breakup. Not everything has to be a smoking gun.

He has seen this play out for many other Youtubers and it always ends in them making a half assed non-apology videos that get backlash, or they make a half assed defence video that also doesn't end well for them.

Tom would definitely have more self-awareness about how his actions can affect his reputation onwards, I feel like I can usually predict what people will say or do and they do end up saying or doing those things, but for Tom?

He will lose a sizable amount of his audience but I feel as though there is a large portion of his audience that are just casual subscribers who don't invest too much into his public persona and just listen to his videos as background noise when they do other things like cleaning or whatever.
