A country isn't socialist unless it's constitutionally defined itself as such. Sweden itself, as I have provided evidence for, has denounced the claim that it's a socialist country and explicitly is backing out of socialist policies because they were failing. Just because you have socialist groups within your country or a few policies doesn't make your country an example of a socialist government. Take Canada. It's classified as a democratic country despite having free health care. Free health care which, might I add, is the reason you've had to wait a year to get a diagnoses as you've mentioned before.

Not to mention often the animators are...just that. The animators. They don't often have much involvement with the story itself. That's why the only fair way to criticize animation is to look at them as two separate parts together. You can hate the story, but enjoy watching the animation. That's how it's supposed to be.
Jerry seems to 'review' everything like a book, where the story and themes are the only things that matter. If the story and themes are bad by his standards, than everything else must be bad.

Jerry been preaching this same crap for about 2-3 years at this point, and was at that point I just give up calling Jerry even a grain of a critic. His basic argument is that of a child.
"Just because the animation, effect, and etc is bad and are causes of people detraction of story, doesn't have to be bring up and are not good criticisms."
Like, you can enjoy a story while still pointing the flaws in other departments. Because these things can distract a story or just put a series down. Case in point, Beserk. One of the best written manga and it have the worst CGI animation I have seen.

I guess he has SOME kind of point, somewhere in there. I was thinking along the lines of "Graphics don't make up a game", and also "if a story sucks, and the graphics/gameplay look good, then it could still be a good game"
What I take issue with is how he says that our perception of the animation of a work relies on the story, characters, themes, etc.
Also, as a sidenote, since when does he give a shit about themes? He never listens to them. Is he trying to be like Robin Hood or some shit and make sure there are good themes for kids to learn? And the freak the fuck out when he finds out those themes tell kids to do the exact opposite of what he wants?

I'm gonna apply this to games, since it's essentially the same concept. You could have a game with spectacular graphics, great gameplay, etc, but the characters and story could be shit. No one will say the graphics are shit, just because the characters/story are shit. Jerry seems to believe that if you love/hate everything about the so-called "CORE" of a work, then that makes you see the animation as great/awful, regardless of whether it's poorly/well done.
His point makes so little sense that I'm having trouble expressing it.

Nah, Jerry. I don't think discussion would be the first thing you'd do with a "small child". But I digress.
Given the vast majority of posts on his Tumblr, as well as most of his videos, and his authoritarian views, it's only natural that he would come off as "Do what I tell you or else you're a Neo-Nazi", what with his supreme phobia of open dialogue, a la "block everyone that follows Carlgon or Thunderfzerozerot" (Seriously, he thinks those are insults).
Main point is, as cliche as it sounds, Jerry doesn't like differing opinions regardless of whether or not they're well thought out, nuanced, have discussion value (nothing he disagrees with has any of those), etc, and thinks his are the one true set of opinions, that must be obeyed in order for you to be considered a good person. The assertion made by this "Voice Of Reason" person that Jerry would likely berate a young child for saying something seemingly wrong really doesn't sound outlandish, although I have to give Jerry some kind of credit, he probably knows that kids don't have developed critical thinking skills.
Jerry seems like he's on a mission to piss off as many bronies as he possibly can. At this rate, it'll only be so long before they try to ostracize him from their fandom.
