Just rereaded the ymmv page and the history, ALOT of stuff was changed from yesterday. A lot of random spergery about Kokona was removed, and grammar fixes all over the page so i doubt this was Alex who did it. The one who did it, user "Skyfield" os was probably a regular editor/mod. But a few changes in particular got me, everything about Mida (pedo teacher) and Muja (pedo nurse) was removed and the example saying Ayano isn't actually a Yandere but a sociopath was removed too.

(The Ayano not being yandere example shouldn't count now cause it doesn't explain what would be correct word would be, it's just "some people think she is not yandere while other do" now.)

Usually if the cops find it this kind of stuff is attached to a larger charge like rape, sexual harassment, battery etc. and not typically enforced on it's own. Normally this wouldn't be much to mention on here, but these people are taking time out of their day to do this, don't get paid to do any of it, and manage to make the hairstyles, outfits, and accessories look a lot better than the original assets. Meanwhile, Alex is doing fuck all, but he is aware of the community and has liked the posts with the custom content.

For the past decade or so, the primary cost to game development for indie game developers is content creation, not technology. The technology has been a solved problem for a long time in the form of game engines.

The content consists of assets, like artwork or sound, and the gameplay itself, which needs to be scripted. In this case, you'll want to use the highest level scripting language you can find. The lower level technology should be fast (and thus written in a lower level language), but that's already taken care of by the engine itself.

It's wasteful for a game developer to use a lower level language when a higher level language, like Javascript, would do. The smaller your write-test-debug cycle (say 2 days vs 4 days), the faster you can get new features out and the better your game will be. Even for experienced programmers, lower level languages == more code to debug == less efficient write-test-debug cycle.

The problem isn't with Javascript. It's a perfectly fine scripting language for this purpose. (I mean, you can debate Javascript vs Python vs Lua vs Ruby if you want to, but I think that's splitting hairs for this conversation.)

The problem is that yandev is a lazy dumbass. And probably can't program well to begin with, even in babby's first programming language, Javascript.
