It is always great to see Phil fall face first into another personal "crisis." This is not the end of Phil which I think we all know by now and the strike my not even stick but we are in for a Phil overreaction vlog just like when it took Youtube a few days to accept his account.

My dream scenario is Phil goes to court, loses, and it is somehow the spark that ignites the end of Lets Play as a potential career choice. It would be amazing if Phil's true legacy was the guy who set a precedent for game companies allowed to sue lets players for fair use.

Many of us have been saying for years that DSP repeatedly flipping off the camera and saying, "Fuck [publisher]" will royally bite him in the ass one day. It appears that day is here.
This does not appear to be a rehash of the Steve Jones/Ubisoft fiasco that got him a strike on his original Darksydephil channel. These are targeted claims, and the system by which strikes are initiated has been very much improved by Phil's own admission to clean up false claims.
Mouthing off to Machinima and getting himself fired has really fucked him over.

Phil's probably too dumb and lazy ever to take it to an appeals court where it would have binding precedential value. More likely he shits himself, turns white and caves in if he sees anything with a court stamp on it. If Atlus really wants a completely unsympathetic adversary, though, it would be good defendant shopping to pick a total asshole like DSP, then sue him on the opposite side of the country where he lives. They probably have something buried in whatever shit you have to click through to play this saying they can do that.

Regardless of what happens next, he's going to be bitching about Atlus for years. Just like his "Youtube Legacy" and "4th place pro tournament win" he'll keep mentioning how "Atlus are fucking assholes dood, ohkaay? *SNORT*" until the day his fat ass keels over and dies.

I gotta hand it to Phil though, these last 2-3 months have been amazing in terms of the sheer volume of events taking place in his lolcow saga. It's just one big event after the other, with each of them chipping away at the house of cards that is his life; and rapidly declining mental state.

Atlus (Japan?) gave fair warning when P5 came out, its not like they did this out of the blue Atlus USA where saying 'be careful guys' and some LPers i actually watch stayed clear because of it. DSP thought he could buck the "Man" and he has once again failed miserably

This Atlus thing ain't the end of DSP. He won't sue over a JRPG thats 3 months old.

Watch out for Mario Odyssey though. My guess is that he'll try and play it (its gonna be a huge release) and when Nintendo comes knocking for money because he isn't on an MCN, he'll flip shit about NINTEHNDOH. His rage towards them has been building for years now and he may snap.

I'd love to see Phil go against Nintendo's notorious lawyer team.
