Things are getting kinda wacky in Maricopa county Arizona.
You all might remember Maricopa country where in 2020 Biden had a surprise big win in the election and Kari Lake a surprising loss.
Welp the a GoP public recorder, a person newly elected to ensure election integrity has been relentlessly harassed by the Democrat controlled electors board who absolutely refuse to co-operate with his office in any way and are now trying to have him ejected from his role.
The Democrat really really really want this guy gone because he's setting up election verification processes such as signature certification, address checks and ID laws. The Democrat controlled electors board is saying that his office is trying to set up a "wide spread voter disenfranchisement scheme" and have used their control of the state apparatus to bring him up before the board on charges of improper behaviour in an attempt to remove him before the mid-terms.
Now why on Earth would a Democrat controlled elections board want a GoP controlled election overseer replaced mere months before the election starts? Hmmmmmmmmm, big thunker there.

Heap won his election in a pretty big way over-coming a long serving Democrat in 2024 and now the Dem's want him out out OUT!
Why? My guess is two fold.
1. The FBI raid on Fulton country means they could be next. Maricopa county was a "significant statistical outlier" for Biden when he won it handily and you'll all remember how Kari Lake got shredded in Maricopa when her campaign thought it be an easy win and of course the state courts denied her case to examine the voters rolls as you'll probably remember.
So yah..nothing sus there at all right? It couldn't be that local Democrats are shitting their pants that the Feds might be heading their way or that Heap could find something that will give the whole game away?
Here a local Arizona Democrat operative going onto the local friendly news trying to whip up rumours on Heap. Notice the language, they never accuse Heap of anything directly, it's all slimy innuendo and "sources say" journoslime standard tactics.
Supervisors criticize recorder’s behavior
“This is not normal behavior,” said Board Supervisor and Vice Chair Debbie Lesko.
“He hasn’t been totally truthful with me as well,” added Supervisor Steve Gallardo.
Supervisor Lesko said Heap’s office has repeatedly refused to answer basic questions from the board for over a year.
“It’s begging the question. What does Recorder Heap have to hide?” Lesko said.
The board voted to order Heap to appear before them next week and answer questions under oath about his office operations.
The supervisors sent a letter to his office last month outlining their questions. They want basic answers about office spending and preparations for the upcoming elections.
“I have never had to deal with a recorder’s office or any other elected official in the manner in which we are faced with and having to deal with. It’s unfortunate,” Gallardo said.
2. Is pretty straightforward. The Democrats have spent years and millions to secure the county and they don't want this upstart coming in and asking questions they don't want answered. With the mid-terms only 9 months away now is not the time for some shitty little GOP'er to come in and start stirring up the pot so they need him out asap.
TLDR: The newly elected GOP election records dude in Maricopa county, Arizona is causing the local power Dems to shit their pants and they want him out now and are trying to get him booted from his elected post by lying about his job performance and going on tv smearing him.
