It's impressive to me how determined you people are to keep the economy in the shitter and pay higher prices just to give Trump a "win".
>things steadily improve for poor people.
>your life is barely impacted, excepting mental health, of course

HE'S COPING! He is using Section 122 to get a 10% tariff for 150 days and I think Section 301 tariffs as well. That's not going to replace what he was raising on the IEEPA.

I also just heard Trump repeatedly describe how someone in the steel industry wanted to kiss him. What a queen.
Why do you hate American steel? Not enough cadmium?

Trump on tariffs:

The Court has given me the unquestioned right to ban all sorts of things from coming into our country, to destroy foreign countries, but a much more powerful right that people ever thought we had but not the right to charge a fee. How crazy is that?

Trump's just going to pick a country and fuck them over completely out of spite.

And I like how he just said they're swayed by foreign interests because they're DC faggots sucking chynese adrenochrome.

TOTAL GLOBAL TARIFF IMPLMENTATION

Supreme Court should take away more of his toys so he's forced to nuke everybody. They keep doing this thinking that it's going to make him stop. You can't stump the Trump.
We go from an 20% to 40% tax on imports for an unlimited duration to a 10% tax for up to 150 days. I love how he can spin that as a win.

YEAH TRUMP BAN ALL JEETS AND CHINKS COMING IN. DECLARE WAR ON CANADA.

I wonder if we're going to strike Iran tonight or wait another week or two. It's likely going to be a day when the American markets are closed

By the way can I just say how funny it is that boomers are responding to the current economic and political chaos with

"See! See! I told you millennials and zoomers were bad and incompetent! I told you things would collapse once we retired!"

My gray haired, ruddy complexioned, beer bellied brother in Christ your children and grandchildren are not in charge anywhere. They are all either unemployed, working low status and low paid jobs, or attending school endlessly in an attempt to avoid the shitty economy.

The people currently in charge of (and ruining) the country are either blacks promoted via DEI or third world browns who have exploited America's social and economic liberalism to create ethnic cartels.

Trump on tariffs:

They make steel products, and I said, “How are you? Nice to meet you. How’s business, president?” He said, “I’d love to kiss you.

”This is a very powerful man — a very strong man. I don’t want to be kissed by that man, but he’s a very powerful, strong man. He’s been in the steel business for many years. His father started it.

And he said, “Sir, I want to kiss you.” I said, “Why?” He said, “Because we were down to working one hour a week, and then you came in and imposed tariffs, and all of that foreign junk they were dumping into our country stopped.”

Trump on tariffs:

Taiwan came in and they stole our chip business.

They’ve been making chips for 30 years.

They made chip after chip after chip.

For anyone wondering about the "chip business" remarks:
In 1990, the US produced 37% of the world's chip supply, according to a September 2020 report from the Semiconductor Industry Association. But now, the country is responsible for just 12% of global chip production.

Seventy-five percent of the world's chip manufacturing comes out of Asia, per the report, and China is positioned to become the largest chip producer by 2030.

Why the decline in the US? It became cheaper to build chip facilities in countries outside of the US. Those foreign governments offer more attractive financial incentives to construct semiconductor factories, like tax breaks and grants. There's also less regulation in places like Asia. On top of that, there aren't as many jobs in the US created to run such high-tech factories.
