So it’s 99.999% Fredrick died in his sleep thanks to opiates and benzos. Sounds like he was taking giant doses of methadone (and junkies like to combine that with benzos) and died due to CNS depression.

It’s rather sad how bad he spiraled in the last years. He was a bit of free thinking spit fire at 19 determined to take control of his own destiny, but that can be hard in good circumstances and Fred had absolute shit circumstances. In his early 20’s he was determined to work and be productive even though he didn’t have to. He received full disability benefits, he could have just done nothing.

But after the Watkins demon, he moved home, got his disability benefits and started taking massive amounts of drugs. Seems like he just gave up on life after he left the Philippines. Honestly, given the cruel joke of his body, I can’t exactly blame him. I’d want to be in a permanent narcotic haze too.

I actually think that’s one of the traps of full disability benefits. So many ppl lose the will to do anything and spiral into depression and drug use. Having work and projects to devote your energy to his vital to a happy life. It’s why chronically online welfare furries addicted to porn are so miserable,

With all the discussion of the old 8chan.co days and Hotwheels I thought I'd post another one of my (saved them didn't make them to be clear) vintage infographics from the GG era exodus from 4chan to 8chan. Doubt I'll ever have a chance to post this in context again so why not? This one even still has it's Unix timestamp on it indicating I saved it back on September 28th of 2014 . Note how damn serious people were about GG at the time. Like this is worded like we were in some kind of war with Moot.

Damn, weird feeling, I nearly forgot about ol' cripplekike. As others have said, I definitely have great memories from 8ch as well. (the early, early years, I left before all the drama shit/spamming went down)
Hotwheels was a faggot but I'm thankful for that weird shithole of a site. I still remember that Ritsu tripfag on /v/(?) and his 4am threads. Comfy times.
Yiff in Hell and all that etc.
 
Was thinking about the Hotwheels only yesterday. How someone like him could be on the other end of an online argument telling you they were gonna kill your family or something. Rest in Peace little guy.
 
I think I've mentioned before that 8chan was my go-to site after GG kicked off, up until it died with the Christchurch shooting and I started lurking the farms full-time. Looking back, it was kind of a shitty site, but it had its charm. It wasn't quite as fast-paced or hectic as 4chan could be at that point, so you could actually have conversations on /v/, sometimes even actually about video games! And all the niche boards that people created were fun too; I miss shitposting on /sw/ and /strek/. Plus, it helped me break my 4chan habit, and considering the state of that shithole now, that was definitely the right call. I'm glad I got to be a part of that, and I do have to thank Freddy in part for the good times I had there.

That said, let him also serve as a cautionary tale of letting troll's remorse turn you into an absolutely disgusting excuse for a human being. He spent years sucking up to people who would rather have seen him dead for the part he played in GG, and in the end, he got absolutely nothing for it aside from a half-hearted eulogy by the brick-faced troon Elliot "Liz" Fong-Jones. I know he got dealt a shitty hand in life, and I'm sympathetic towards him for that much at least, but plenty of disabled people have managed to do more than you'd expect. Instead of rising above, he ended up wallowing in degeneracy and filth, and he died as he lived.

So RIP and fuck you, Fred. Despite all your efforts to disavow the rest of us, your legacy will always be as a bad wrongthinker.
 
Ill never forget 8chan. I remember it being a breath of fresh air when it first started and enjoyed the various threads and boards like /retro/, and /cow/ (the various threads like the ones about trainfags were pretty fun). The day Brennan decided to abandon ship and decry the thing that he was absolutely involved with was pathetic. If he wanted to scrub his hands clean and simply say "Its been a ride", then that would've been one thing. But the way he decided to throw everyone under the bus was pitiful. Regardless of all that, RIP.
 
RIP crippleman, 8chan was a shitshow but it had a ton of good posts.

I still remember the stories our Dear Feeder told about his tenure in the Philippines working on 8chan.

Wu, weirdly enough, got really pro-Israel after October 7th while Hotwheels morphed into a generic pro-Palestine left-liberal furry. I honestly think current day Brianna Wu would hate Brennan more for that than the GG stuff given how rabid pro-Israel types are.
