Which is sorta par the course for Trump with these conflicts, in that there doesn't seem to have figured out that maybe you need an actual goal with military strikes beyond just seeing a thing blow up. This wasn't as much of an issue with the Houthis or Venezuelan fishermen since people weren't typically seeing any big negative effects from it, but with Iran we're getting to see American soldiers dying (or just getting hurt) along with Shaheds hitting hotels in other countries.

Makes it obvious that Trump wasn't keeping the conflict contained and makes people question how he's going to actually wrap this up since it isn't just some quick overnight endeavor.

Even if the Middle East could be fixed, that won't happen if a foreign government kills the leaders of the country and allows everyone else to fight for power. The US can't place another puppet regime because, like in many other attempts, the new regime is often as bad as the last (or worse), and if it's not supported by the local population, there's just more civil unrest. Quelling civil unrest would require peacekeeping missions, funded by American money and troops, and would have to continue for years, if not decades.

MAGA is so fucking retarded if they think killing the people in charge, without having a proper succession plan with the local populace, will suddenly make things better. Whoever gains power next in Iran will either hate the US and oppress the Iranians who support America, love the US and oppress the Iranians who oppose the US, or be in power solely for themselves and oppress everyone. There's going to be a humanitarian crisis, starvation, crime rate spikes, and a fucked economy. There's no "win" for the average person in situations like this.

Is MAGA going to demand democratic elections? How will that be enforced and overseen? What if MAGA hates the next leader? Will this happen again? Even if there isn't daily fighting involving American and Iranian troops, that doesn't mean everything is suddenly peaceful and loving.

Also, why the hell is the US the world police, judge, jury, and executioner? Regardless of how fucked up the other countries' governments are, why is the American president unilaterally killing government leaders? Why isn't Congress voting on whether the US intervenes in another country's shit? Do the American people not have a say in US military intervention? MAGA gives way too much power to one person, and it will fuck them over eventually.
