Legend of Zelda thread - Lorefags GTFO!

I don't see why people give Phantom Hourglass shit for that when there's so many things in Majora's Mask you're forced to redo. Need to get the Gold Dust again? I hope you enjoyed fighting that mechanical bull boss!
All that shit is optional in Majora's Mask, though. All the stuff you actually need to do to beat the game easily fits within three day cycles without the need for repetition. You actually need to return to the dungeon over and over again in Phantom Hourglass. That's not remotely the same thing. While 100%ing the game absolutely should be a pain in the ass for those who want a challenge, just clearing the main story shouldn't be.

I've never bothered with the figurine questline. I'll hand a few in, but that particular brand of autism is too much for me. And I've completed the TMC figurine collection before.
The biggest problem is that you literally can't complete it if you miss certain random side characters before they disappear from the game for no reason, which happened to me.

It sucks, too, because, conceptually, this is probably my favorite side quest. I can even deal with the tedium, but I can not deal with not being able to finish it.

If you all can and haven't yet, definitely give the PC port of the game a try. It has lots if great (optional for purists) quality of life changes like making Razor permanent, and retaining bottle contents through resets.

For any of you OoT fags, if you ever want to try learning some glitched randomizer hit me up and I can teach the ancient ways (it's fun).

e. if you do, my recommendation is to emulate VC via Dolphin

Speaking of PC ports.
On an unrelated note... my mind went to Zelda fishing for a brief spell, and it dawned on me... nuZelda didn't have any fishing... think about that, the "open world" supposedly most advanced, huge, and greatest Zelda evaaar, didn't have fishing... It has a basic cooking mechanic, like you can blow up some water with a bomb and pick some shit up, but you can't go to a lake, get in a boat, find a nice spot, and enjoy some peaceful moments catching fish as its own minigame. There's no fishing hole, no cute fishing girl to join you and make pretty faces at you, there's no lures, no nothing. And since TOTK was just expanded DLC, why would they ever add something like fishing to enhance the game? That's too much work apparently. Fuck man...

Pokemon also axed fishing a couple of gens back and it made me equally sad. Nothing beats a good fishing minigame.

Even with just midi music that op still hits hard, the whole OST is a testament to what can be done with it. I'm hoping the project will be completed by the 20th anniversary, proving itself to be a far better celebration than anything jap disney nintendo cooked up for the year - which is literally nothing. I love it when fans btfo multi-billion dollar hydras, I'm getting flashbacks to AM2R here. Fans do what nintendon't.

Same as it ever was.
Disagree. M rated games in the 90s and early 2000s treated us like the adults who were supposed to be playing them. Ubislop tutorial ui hell didn't start to infect all of gaming until the 2010s. Back in the 90s kids games still had a pretty obnoxious amount of tutorials. But they were also for kids and still less obnoxious than most modern aaa games rated m. Meanwhile kids games post 2010s actually feel more relaxed in tutorials. Seemingly doing the opposite of what should be happening. Instead of treating adult gamers like people who played a game before in their life. It's a thing for kids and vice versa. Ninja gaiden and old school resident evil didn't even have tutorials. You just had your opening and began playing the game unless you looked in the tutorial files. In re4 outside of context sensitive moments the game had 0 mandatory tutorials. Far cry and the far cry instincts series had the tutorial be its own separate level. Etc. also how elder scrolls Oblivion tutorials just thrust you into the game forcing you to learn how to play to overcome the challenges and letting you choose how you wish to play with presets giving you guestimates on what you enjoy most based off of your own gameplay. But unlike Skyrim never had any npcs that gave you hints or told you how to complete anything. Mainly because all the NPCs were hostile rats and goblins tbf.

My point really was. "Hey" "listen." used to be annoying af. But modern games desensitized me so much that I kinda want more "Look" and "Watch out" because at least it doesn't happen as often as the shit that video is mocking and it's less annoying by far. Holy shit that video was annoying to watch.
