Why are people nowadays obsessed with sounding like children? Why does every word need to have the seriousness sucked out of it?

People are talking about serious subjects that make them mad but can't be bothered to type delusional like an adult that can handle a four syllable word. I'm starting to wonder if they really are retarded and this is their way to get around exposing that fact by spelling it deluzzinal or similar.

Any of the TikTok talking-around-the-censor words, like "grape", "unalive", and "pdf file", piss me off. I understand that YouTubers have to speak like this to avoid being demonetized, but I miss when content didn't have to self-censor in this way. It also makes things sound a lot less serious when instead of saying something like "Notorious pedophile rapist, Jeffrey Epstein, allegedly committed suicide", you're saying "Notorious PDF file grape-ist, Jeffrey Epstein, allegedly unalived himself". I don't even use TikTok, but it seems like these words have breached containment and appear on every social media website, and I'm pretty sure they originate from TikTok.

So it was "TikTok"? I thought it was YouTube "Community Guidelines" that was responsible for that extreme "G-rated" censorship.

Also, "PDF files" should go back to being PDF files. Pedophiles should be called pedophiles (or paedophiles if you're British).

If you watch bodycam/crime videos, you'll see how much worse it can get. Even innocuous words like "twelve," "child," "hit" get censored because supposedly, even if the words themselves are fine, they worry the autofilter will catch onto the context and demonetize the videos. I'd argue that if it's so insightful and stringent, it'd catch on anyway, but I don't think the jeets running their bodycam content farms have the awareness to understand that.

Similarly, "slayer" being used instead of "killer"/"murderer" also irks me. It's a weirdly out-of-place term and it's clearly just used to try to avoid any sort of automated filtering. Or maybe I'm just a schizo who's played too much Halo to see 'slayer' as a normal word, and it's actually a perfectly acceptable term to use lol

Because they desperately cling to their vanishing juvenility while time weathers them away year by year. They hate the idea of getting old and will use juvenile vocabulary like "delulu" and "adulting" as an sad attempt to put a damper on it.
 
I absolutely despite the phrase "tourist". It's used by everyone just to diminish someone else maybe for a good reason maybe for bad reason but every time I hear it I physically cringe. Tourist this tourist that nigga tour a fuckin job. If they're trying to get money off the game they're a grifter. If they fake being a fan just for fame or game credit then the term is applicable. But even in the applicable way I still physically cringe cause the worst people you know used that term, now the modern internet use it all the time
