I've been saying for years that legitimate journalism is dead. I think its corpse was just sodomized with CNN's diseased cock with a single action. And I thought it had already hit rock bottom.

The internet is one of mankind's greatest and most important inventions, but at the same time, I think it carries a lot of the blame for the denigration of journalism. Well, the internet combined with the 24-hour news cycle. Journalism and the news have always been about ratings, but the internet's introduced a sense of urgency that just wasn't present before. You gotta farm those clicks before competing news outlets get them first. Who cares if the information is accurate or not?

But yeah, CNN are being complete cunts. I cannot believe that in the Year of Our Lord 2017 a major news outlet will threaten to dox you for making a fucking gif.
