and now they attack entire organizations and making them crazy.

Most recent, and what spurned this thread, is CNN losing their shit over a wrestling meme, then threatening to dox a rando if he didn't apologize

Their whole staff is going insane on air, look at Sally Kohn losing her shit over a meme

This is why you don't fuck with the internet, CNN.
I saw that coming since this thread first came up. 4chan is going to bend CNN over a barrel and show them the 50 states.

Funny how despite the fact that everyone and their girlfriend is posting about #CNNBlackmail, it doesn't show up in the trending tags. Huh. It's almost like Twitter has a liberal agenda or something.
Jack Dorsey would be a given to side with CNN, considering that he sided with the SJWs in recent memory.
I think it's more about how the article was basically "we found who made this meme and made him apologize under threat of revealing his identity to the public, aren't we so great and awesome journalists?"?
How butthurt can one person or organization be over some innocuous meme that lampoons them? It really is pathetic and shows their level of maturity or lack of.
At what point do we officially stop calling a news organization legitimate?

I find it funny and scary that they doxxed a 15 year old kid for a gif. If they're that so out for blood, it kinda says something sinister about their agenda. This just gives more weight to Trump whenever he calls CNN "Fake News".
At this point, CNN is pretty much fucked and their reputation's(if they had any) grave will only be dug deeper as they try to justify their actions to only be met with more verbal dragging. It really is disgusting that people on twitter are cheering CNN on.
This couldn't be a more appropriate shop. :drink:

Gamergate, and its generation of forced outrage, has become a well-oiled machine.

I'm starting to think that every single journalist reacts way better then most lolcows covered here. Dumb meme? A major news network will hunt you down and sperg at you. Think gaming journalism is terrible? Prepare for a group of pathetic people to be triggered and form a campaign to slander you for years even despite it costing their business.

Is there like a bunch of Chris Chan's working the printing press or what?

>Chris Chan
>work

Let me stop you right there...

nope no coercion here folks he totally apologized way before we could put the screws to him now let this be a warning to you all WE OWN YOUR ASSES
Can youeven legally do that? Isnt that like one of those technically non binding EULAs that are full of overstepping boundaries legally but it is something you say youre agreeing to so you do have to follow those terms but if the case was brought to court they would find that no party involved has ghe powers claimed and legally its full of shit?

Like I dont think you can "reserve the right to" dox somebody. Doxing is not a fucking right. It's an asshole thing to do. You do it because you accept the consequences and shit, you realize that, and realize its something that people are gonna think is shitty, escalatory, and something to retaliate against.

i guess it's hard for me to really feel bad for anyone involved. like i said in an earlier post, both "sides" are shit, and frankly the situation is stupid. should cnn have known better? yes. yes they should have. should that kid cover his tracks better? yes.

ideally one would think that a person shouldn't have to worry about covering their tracks, but i mean... isn't it kind of a known thing that the far left tends to do when people say things they don't like? as in figuring out who they are, and then harassing everyone they know about shit? it's par for the course, really.

if you're gonna do wrongthink, you better fucking cover your tracks.

lol cover what tracks? It was only a dumb kid making a dumb meme, its not like he was threatening to shit the white house. When im shitposting, I dont care about covering my tracks because nobody expect that fucking CNN is going to threaten you over a meme.

CNN is acting super dumb and it have nothing to do with some rando redditor not covering his tracks

This is going to end badly.
Doxing is usually an escalation move. If CNN thinks this isn't going to cause an equivalent level of escalation, they're dreaming.
For example, I'm curious which reporters were the ones who felt it appropriate to dig into some meme fags life.
Im curious how they'd respond to turnabout.

I bet they thought that they were untouchable because, you know, they're CNN, the news giant.
But they didn't considered that internet is a powerful tool that allows millions of people to come together and do some dirt work too. They didn't thought about the weaponized autism, after all.

So it was a 15 year old?
No, he's saying you can't trust the guy with CNN to be telling the truth about this, especially since he's already been caught lying about it (first he said he contacted the person for an apology, then an hour later when he realized that sounded bad said the guy apologized before being contacted). All evidence suggests the kid isn't actually 15 - the point being made is just that Kacynzki isn't a great source for this particular info.

And yeah, it's sounding more and more like they doxed the wrong guy.

It's something that can't be tolerated. I'm sure people are already working on doxing fucking everyone involved, but watch them cry foul when their home addresses start getting published.
Don't pick fights you can't finish, kids.

Evidence points to CNN doxing the wrong person.
What evidence? Asking because all I've got to go on is what the reporter said.

Honestly don't care one way or the other though, I'm just curious. I still think people are being played. CNN is in the ratings biz and they're getting all the attention they want now. Meanwhile, Trump supporters are acting like triggered pussies over a big bad fake news organization.
