Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

@LordKaT , care to tell us all about TWiT and why they lost all their credibility years ago? Or should I just link the archive of fuckyou.lordkat.com?

Just stick with Ambien, John.

I don't exactly know how things work in a nuclear power plant but that's what I'm sticking to, especially because the stories I've seen say the plants are still working properly.

I kind of don't think it's possible to access a nuclear power plant's network and send a packet and cause a meltdown. I wonder if Wu is going to start spouting an anti-Nuclear stance next. "As a nuclear engineer."

"Originating" in Russia (what is a VPN? What are independent hackers looking for information to sell?) still doesn't put the blame on the Russian government, nor is it an act of war. Nor should anyone congressperson ever accuse a country of an act of war based on some hearsay he read on buzzfeed.

How many "acts of war" have the CIA committed against other governments using these tools they invented and are currently being used against these nuclear power plants? The same tools the CIA admit were intentionally engineered to make it look like a cyberattack is originating from Russia?

I do find it amusing that American liberals/leftists are suddenly siding with the CIA/FBI despite the decades those organisations have spent actively trying to destroy any kind of progressive movement using the dirtiest tactics imaginable. They've just shown that they have absolutely no principles whatsoever or are willing to disregard whatever principles they do have whenever it suits them.

An even better reason is that it's a great way to waste your time instead of working on your fake campaign!

Oh god please no. Wrestling is one of the last things I have to retreat into that hasn't been infested by people like John and his ilk. I know Zoe Quinn was into it for about 5 minutes until she realised you actually have to be in shape and put in hard work, but Flynt deciding they're suddenly interested in wrestling is too much.

:offtopic:At least they'll never know about the obscure Japanese stuff I enjoy:offtopic:

Off topic as well, but the FBI wiretapped Martin Luther King Jr, leaked information illegally gained through that to the press about his extra marital affairs, and sent him a letter threatening him to kill himself or else. Then, he was assassinated while under tight enough FBI surveillance to learn about who he was having sex with and when.

I still can't fathom why people believe government entities are benevolent and should be trusted instead of scrutinized.

It's pretty much a guarantee they are doing the same thing to Black Lives Matter leaders and members of other activist groups that they all say they support, but they'll conveniently ignore that and it's okay because 'muh Drumpf and Russia collaboration!'.

American 'liberals' like John are the worst.

Wu is dumb as usual, the reactor is not connected to facebook, it's not on the internet, nothing of important is on the internet because it would be dumb as shit.

It seems to be called 'air gapping' now or some shit, separate circuit in the past maybe, but it's been going on forever and the principle is that if you have something highly valuable or sensitive that you don't want stolen, or tampered with, or seen/read then you don't connect anything on that network to the internet! There will be, and forgive me because I can't remember the translation or terminology, "hard lines" or dedicated connections that connects facilities in a huge local area network and it can span continents. And shit is locked down tight.
That is pretty much the dark web.

I'm gonna sperg for a little bit, but I worked in nuclear power for seven years. There's no such thing as a "kill zone". Not even informally.

There's a common misconception that a meltdown will cause some sort of big explosion. That's not how nuclear plants work, in the case of a catastrophic nuclear meltdown the core will "melt down" into the earth, and a radioactive plume (emergency ventilation of gas) will go up into the sky. There is no nuclear explosion because nuclear plants and nuclear bombs are wholly distinctive and different things (explosions are possible during a meltdown but they're not nuclear explosions, they're just normal explosions from trapped gas and the normal kind of explosions you see when confined spaces get really hot). The biggest danger comes from the radioactive plume, not the meltdown itself. Most nuclear plants are built by large bodies of water to mitigate the meltdown.

The plume will float through the air and shit radioactive contamination all over everything, and it will go wherever the wind takes it and there's literally nothing we can do about it (iodine pills are basically the only thing we have to mitigate radiation exposure from a plume). But the point is that you can't predict where that radioactive cloud will go because it's 100% up to nature. So there's no such thing as a fucking "kill zone" and as usual Brianna has no fucking clue what she's talking about.

Edit: I just realized, maybe she's talking about the uninhabitable land around the post-meltdown plant as the "kill zone". If she is, she's coining new phrases because I've never heard anyone call it that.

Sperg all you like, I actually learned something from this. Which is more then can be said for the great Briana one.

Brianna probably just gets all her nuclear power info from The Simpsons or something.

I knew guys who worked in Camp Bastion in Afghanistan, and nothing was connected to the internet. Everything had to be brought in and out on physical drives. The only way to sabotage operations would have been to have a man on the inside.

I would have expected all of John's military friends from Mississippi to have told him that, but I guess he never asked.

"When I worked as a reporter.........." yet a simple google search turns up nothing under both "John Flynt" and "Briana Wu".

He always does this before Troonsplaining "When I worked as a reporter I researched/wrote stories on xxxxxx" so that he can talk about the issue from a fake point of authority because it's not true. He was never a reporter and never wrote these stories. He's getting more ballsy with his lies.

The best part of his latest journalism lie is the assertion that he wrote "many" stories about animal shelters. Anyone who's ever worked in a newsroom knows that this contradicts his claim that he spent his career as a top-flight "investigative" reporter. Stories on the animal shelter aren't assigned to the paper's ace investigator. They go to an intern or the greenest new reporter.
