It's fascinating how much the userbase hates the fucking website and the people that run it, yet still claim it's "better than twitter™️". A censorious alt-tech platform is so retarded since the main reason why people use alt-tech sites (Rumble, Odysee, BitChute) is because they've had videos removed (or their entire channel) from YouTube, and want another place for their videos to be viewable without the fear of them getting removed for violating some retarded guidelines. They want more freedoms not less.

They should try to go to Gab! They'll be welcomed with open arms for sure!

I kind of feel sorry for people who are legitimately immunocompromised or who actually have the flu or something and are politely trying not to spread it who then get harassed by fucking weirdoes who get an attack of the vapors when seeing a mask.

I mean I assume if it's a hamplanet with blue hair the reason is probably what you'd think, but there are legitimate reasons for actually wearing a mask other than COVID.

Most people don't care if anyone wears a mask. It's trying to force mask wearing on others that is the problem.

People who wears a mask and dont even properly put it on are worse IMO. On paper they care about not spreading germs, but in practice they're being counter productive, making sure to cough while the chin diaper is bottomed out.

Even so, with the "correct" mask and everything, it's mostly only for the protection of others, because there are ways into your body other than your mouth and nose that the virus can infect you, and the mask isn't covering that.

Yeah, the selfish masks with exhaust vents are the ones for your own protection only because they don't filter the exhaust. So you're not getting exposed to other people's germs, but they are to yours.

Most sites have a weird culture of people pretending to be incensed about something and Kiwifarms is no exception. I assume it's performative and/or a vocal minority. I found myself falling into that trap in the Tranny Sideshows thread and it wasn't healthy.

It's not exactly performative for me, it's mostly just having fun talking shit and venting a little rage. If it stops being fun, I'm doing it wrong. I agree a lot of people lose sight of this and spend their time in these places legit seething, not a good idea.

a big reason for that is loss of engagement especially if the people were artists or social people. A post that might get 100+ engagements on twitter might only see 10 on bluesky, which is not good if you are trying to promote your product or services.
