I wanna say that I can see Chris lying about receiving the money for this, but then I can also see him tardraging over losing $1,000 and being in the hole by another hundred.
Only time will tell.

That, or we're all in the wrong line of work and should become bookkeepers.I am sure it was a fake bid, no one would drop money for his art.
As far as I understand in order to buy a buy it now you have to pay it right then and there. CWC may have somehow made 1000 dollars. This doesn't sit right with me if this is true.
I can tell you exactly: He'll blame the trolls for not being people who would be willing to pay $5,000.What sort of mental gymnastics will he perform in order to explain to himself the fact that no one is going to pay Five Thousand Dollars for his infantile drawing?
Chris really believes that not getting the picture would be a serious punishment for anyone.Tards Fattington said:either pay me in full, or kick yourselves stupid to seriously tired for your lies.
I doubt he did that. If he had available credit, he would have *already* bought Legos with it.What interests me is the theory that Chris bought stuff on credit when he saw the auction listings hit five figures. I'm not doubting he'd be reckless enough to do it, but surely he doesn't have many available lines of credit given his big debts and small income?
I doubt he did that. If he had available credit, he would have *already* bought Legos with it.
It's this. Chris has been maxing out credit cards left and right for his entire adult life. When he saw the spike in bids, he may have thought "now I can buy even more legos", but it's just as likely he would have rationalized whatever purchases he was going to make anyway, even if he didn't think there was money coming to him.I doubt he did that. If he had available credit, he would have *already* bought Legos with it.
Oh, totally. Chris is gonna be rolling in money soon.Guys, sorry for being such a slow in the mind, but I just checked the final auction and it says sold? For $2.500? Is this legit?
Oh, totally. Chris is gonna be rolling in money soon.
He has also said, "The money is basically mine, I will pay some debt but there is other things I need too at this time". No clue if he means lego or like house payments and living necessities like groceries and clothes.
Of course, this is stuff we already know and or have already assumed. Just thought I'd chime in with stuff I've received.
Yeah, when I read the screen caps and message I was like "oh, 'other things I need' = lego obviously". How dumb does Chris assume we are? He was willing to sell his dad's things and BEG people for lego... and now all of sudden he's 'worried' about his mother and their debt? Pawlease. If he said "there is other things I need too at this time", you can be damn certain that he meant Legos.
And by "paying some debt", I'm also certain that means "only paying the minimum on my credit card bills".
So when Chris dies without paying it will the debt go to coleslaw?I've seen his credit report. He has enough available credit to put himself into crushing debt for the rest of his (likely short) life. No foolin.
Actually, they won't wait for the money to arrive before eBay wants it's percentage. The policy is that they have is "Bidder didn't pay? F*ck you! Where's MY money?" and after a certain amount of time that no payment had ever arrived, Chris can file the required forms to have his money given back. But still, this could mean that Chris would be in the hole for $100 for at least a few weeks while all this red tape processes.
And don't forget, the buyer, even if he does throw a grand into this like the Double Dodo Brain he is*, has 45 days to make up some BS claim that the item was not as described (if Chris really did use Scotch tape and claim that the pic is "laminated", then that there is a false description), eBay would most likely award in favor of the buyer and Chris is out the original and his $1000 that he'd better pay up or get his eBay/PP accounts locked.
* I have a suspicion that DDB is actually a small group of DBs who pitched in to make this $1000 offer, making Chris into their LOLcow Timeshare, as it were.
