Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

How come you don't have any pictures of the 10,000k gay friends that were killed by Iranian insurgents, John?

Ah here we go. Self-styled 'new face' of the New Democrat party John Flynt continuing the proud hawkish tradition of those that came before him, complete with the dangerously misinformed ideas about the politics of the Middle-East and Gulf area.

Probably worth pointing out that "Iranian backed militia" does not equal Iran, if it does the US has killed tens of thousands of people in Syria in the past few years since it's funded a shit load of militias and rebel groups.

EDIT: Also those sorts of militias would probably still be in Syria anyway even without Iranian backing, they'd just get the backing of Russia or Syria itself instead.

I feel like shit's going to stay pretty boring on Brianna's Twitter until she forces Frank to finish working on the financials report for this quarter, so here's a throwback Thursday to remind you how anti-Hillary she was. Bonus - "courupt" makes an appearance in this thread.

LOL @ Wu claiming she earned a poli sci degree. Ten years later and she's only gotten bolder with the fake credentials.

Um yeah hate to break it to ya John but this makes no fucking sense.

I can see where John thinks he has a point. He's trying to point out that since those other organisations are government owned (or managed on behalf of government) that NPR should also stay since it's publicly funded.

The difference is that if you want to go to the Louvre, Sydney Opera House or a Russian ballet you have to pay money. NPR doesn't run ads (I think) and doesn't make a profit and so is a complete monetary loss from a public finances stand point, the other 3 either run at a profit or will do in the long run and so will eventually be a net gain for the taxpayer.

Also elevating fucking sesame street to the same level as centuries old fine art, or some of the most talented singers and dancers in the world is beyond ridiculous.

NPR uses underwriting during radio broadcasts and traditional advertising on their digital media platforms.

This made me curious to see if the Sydney Opera House even has opera anymore. Their website has the word "Samsung" more times than "Sydney." They list all their sponsors (tons of them) and have events out the wazoo. Cultural icon home to art, yes. Privately funded industry? Also yes.
Play houses collect donations from private individuals. Artists have people buying and trading their art.

Brianna just mad video games don't count as art/can't collect government bucks.

I thought it was just a conference centre now?
