Six months sentence is... disappointing. I was hoping for a year or two. I suppose they treated his stay at Hank's as part of the punishment. However, SEX OFFENDER STATUS FOR FIVE YEARS?! Better than I was expecting. He has to be very picky about his housing and many good jobs will turn him down. Not bad. Also, it is very likely he will forget to register at least one thing and get the cops called on him. This might be fun.

He does not fit the appeal terms.

It would not benefit him to try to appeal in the first place. It would remind his neighbors of his S.O. status. As for the potential success of his appeal, consider this: His crimes involved minors, they were repeated, he committed many crimes even after he got into trouble etc etc. They will deny him.

He committed sexual harassment on Lotteworld (an indoor amusement park). That is to say, he blasted rape threats and other sexual comments in front of kids and their parents. He is fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked. They said that he was condemned on ALL charges so it will have to include the Lotteworld stuff unless they save those for a separate trial.

I hope Korea enjoys the influx of nuisance streamers they'll get after this. They'll see six months and see that the deep-faking was one of the largest of the charges and think to themselves "Oh, I can go there, do whatever I want, but just avoid deepfaking, and get off scot-free". Really should have done more to make a proper example out of the dumb nigger.
 
I didn't know both Koreas had manual labour sentences.
I suppose he could try living in some country like Moldova afterwards. Can't exactly be a "streamer" there unless he wants to yell at cows.

Have you been actually following this? He stayed in Hank's house for about a year and a half. During that time, he was forbidden from working and making money. He was to spend his family's savings on his stay. Smally got lucky and found a rich retard but the next streamer that tries it will have to stay at a hotel or the street for the duration. Also, random Koreans will attack you. And that is without mentioning being a sex offender. That kills IRL streamer careers. They cannot travel, have strict curfews, will be arrested and presumed guilty for everything and have to be away from kids and women. That status is the Scarlet Letter for many. This is a game changer for the genre. Ice Poseidon even told Smally to his face that his antics have gotten every IRL streamer into more trouble than they were getting into before.

While I wish this was true, the 'sexual assault' part of his conviction came from the deepfake of BongBong, not a minor. The LotteWorld charges were just nuisince charges, dispite the material he was blasting. Those are equivalent to a misdemeanor in the U.S. He's a non-child offending sex offender, which is still kino.

I was hoping for 3 years hard labour, but as BongBong was 'not significantly shamed' (Korean values are not the same as Western ones) in the deepfake the penalty was significantly reduced. I hope the prosecution appeals, but i dont expect it.

Six months in a Korean prison. Dude thought he wasn't going to receive any prison time at all. Remember what happened to Vitaly Zdorovetskiy? This was him after a comparable prison sentence of 9 months in the Philippines:

Johnny is fucked. He's not going to an international prison, but a Korean one. Korean prisons are notoriously hellish. He will have no one to talk to, will be completely isolated, and I foresee him leaving with the same haunted countenance as Vitaly. I can easily see him receiving extra punishment from guards and inmates alike, because he's the most hated man in the nation. He ain't leaving that place without some form of PTSD.

Also, I forget if this still applies or not, but he's not done, is he? I know the Korean justice system differs from the US in that they don't try people for everything at once like they do in the US, they do it piecemeal. So he's imprisoned for this particular crime, but he still has yet to be tried for other stuff while he's imprisoned for this one, unless those charges were thrown out. Someone feel free to correct me, I lost track of all the shit he's been charged with.

Six months at hard labor as probably the only American in the prison and who can't speak the language, isn't like six months in a minimum security white collar resort prison in the U.S. I wish he got more time but it's not going to be easy time.

He'll also have to do hard labor and I doubt he's ever worked in his niggardly life.
