I think so, because they wouldn't be able to hide the smell. The Turemans don't have a separate unit in Vincent's house - they just occupy the second and third (attic) floors.

At the same time, I don't know that Earl is aware of the level of debt Laur has gotten family into. She said she called in APS and was assigned a case number, but that would probably go very badly for her given that she took out a $28,800 loan in his name while claiming he was paralyzed from the neck down.

Does anyone know if Laur filed to become Earl's power of attorney?

According to New York Judiciary Law §255 and the common‑law right of access to court records it's perfectly legal to publicly discuss court filings so I have no idea what she means with "docket surveillance".

I guess I'm having a hard time understanding Laur's logic here. What does "docket surveillance" have to do with her audacity to live in another person's house rent free? As an individual with access to the Internet it is my right to type in a URL available on clearnet and hit refresh as many times as I want and then laugh about it until my heart is content. That has absolutely no bearing, whatsoever, on the crippling life long debt that she has accrued in not just her name but her husband's name and potentially her own daughter's name. What I love about this feral stack of mental illnesses parading as a functional adult is that with all of the illusions she has attempted to present to the world she has yet to grift a single fucking dollar for her troubles. LJ isn't selling this amazing doc to any streaming service to get her story out there nor is Laur being paid for her management of said fake influencer. Absolutely no money is rolling in that isn't attached to a 34% interest credit card or (potentially) Ed's disability. I cannot wait for the homeless arc.
 
I just want LJ to make that promised documentary (that also won't sell and no one will watch) on 'grit' that I am optimistic will feature some kind of homeless arc. I don't ask for much.

In an attempt to prevent genuine landlord abuses, these pieces of shit get to deprive an immigrant property owner of tens of thousands of dollars of income, smear his name, run up extraordinary legal bills he has to pay and probably leave the property completely destroyed.

Since when has she ever cared about the legality of something? In her warped mind, if she wills it, it should be so. That means anything she doesn't like is not allowed, yet any law she herself breaks is suddenly fair and good.

Yes, it seems per Lawyer Dong's motions that the Truemans have yet to be evicted from the property.

Laur isn't helping herself by continuing to file personal letters to the judge, when at the last court date the case was adjudicated as "fully submitted". Anything else she tries to file is moot at this point.

This makes me curious how much functional intelligence Laur has. She marries pedo Earl at 16, does she even finish high school? Honestly, delusional thinking is very cluster B, I think. Narcissists especially feel persecuted their entire lives, everyone always has an ulterior motive, everyone is always trying to pull the rug out from under them, trying to cut them down to get ahead. They can be the biggest loser on earth, fail at everything they've ever tried by virtue of their ineptitude, and still not only believe they're ahead of everyone else, but that others are definitely gunning for their spot. There are schizotypal disorders that are not full blown schizophrenia. Paranoia is a feature of all of them, but they don’t all hear voices and see things that aren’t there.

She could also have a bipolar disorder too-the sheer amount of documents she puts out points to mania. They both need psych evals for sure.

I do feel terrible for the landlord. You have to be crazy to be a landlord these days with the squatters and bums and the difficulties getting them out. If you are lucky enough to manage, your place is trashed. A relative of mine has two houses, one that was rented. One renter turned it into a marijuana grow house and completely gutted the inside. After repair, my relative tried again and got a squatter. It took a year to get that person out. It’s an Airbnb now but I don’t understand why they won’t sell it, the market is on their side.

People just don’t feel they should pay rent for some reason. There are Laurs everywhere.

"Parasitic lifestyle" is one of the traits of sociopathy. Laur displays many of these traits, that one included. Disordered personality is a major factor in having the sort of rental history you're talking about. I've been a renter for much of my adult life, and I would be stressed to the point of serious illness by trying to live the way these people do. It's so much easier to just pay it.

Any one who is more legally knowledgeable have any insight on this? All these motions were filed after the motions are fully submitted and the decision status isn't updated and no further court appearances have appeared. Is the 30 day stay to stop the judge from making a decision or is there a possible eviction warrant? If the judge chose to respond to any of the letters Laur sent, would they go on the docket since this is just an eviction case? Lawyer Dong hasn't filed any motions, I feel like he would if this was a desperate attempt to extend the time period of the case.

I’m not super familiar with NY eviction law, but the answer to this is certainly yes, it would go on the docket. Ex parte communications with a party is an ethics violation. Even if he had his clerk call Laur to tell her to quit her bullshit, that should go on the docket as a Minute Entry. I have no idea what Laur is doing and just the docket alone makes her look like a bugfuck insane SovCit vexatious litigant. I will say that it’s not unusual for anxious parties (even ones represented by counsel) to file a bunch of crap while waiting for a ruling, because they ruminate over the hearing/trial and want to “correct the record” on anything that was misstated or they fear the judge didn’t understand, but the judge either won’t read it at all, or will only read enough to determine it’s not one of the rare situations that actually would reopen evidence.

Also, I have a theory that, at some point in 2025, once Earl was approved for the $28k loan, Laur’s lawyer Jasmine and Lawyer Dong reached a settlement whereby Vincent would accept the $28k lump sum payment and a promise to the vacate the premises on a certain date as “payment in full” for the entire debt and would basically waive the rest of the unpaid rent. That’s why the judge in the eviction case furiously scribbled about “a 2 lawyer agreement” when denying Laur’s efforts to delay eviction on the grounds that she paid what Vincent agreed to accept as payment in full. Laur’s twisted, rotted brain ignored that “and get the fuck off my property” was a necessary condition of the deal. But I could be wrong, because I’d think Lawyer Dong would have filed any written settlement as an exhibit in the current case.

Court system is ridiculous, judges are overpaid idiots and this eviction process is exactly why people need to wakeup and take the law into their own hands.

The landlord wants to play clean and fair with someone who'll use anything to scam her way out and never pay anything she owes.

His lawyer is the only one getting money from this and yet, he's too dumb to google Laur's name, leading right to her daughter:

Lillee's "multi awards winning actress" does not match the "too poor to pay" sob story.

If the landlord were any smart he would pay someone to beat the hell out of them and kick them out with their belongings.

If he needed to be more discreet, he would have damaged the pipes, the water heater, the electrical cables, pay someone to ring at their door X20 times at day/night and so on. There are tens of things he could have done to make their stay more eventful.

He could have sued the agency for renting to 3 unemployed adult with history of bankrupcy, at least the agency have money.


Unless you are a politician, laws will never help you.
Anyway, we'll see how many more free month Laur will steal.
