I literally have not had enough time to skim shit enough to see whatever this shit was I was greeted by people treating fucking memes where characters reference sex as porn when I scrolled back in posts I didn't see the pixiv thing

I agree with a lot of what he says, and he comes across as a fan first, performer second. The show did lack a strong authority figure. His main gripe is how spiteful production can be towards the audience, but recognizes the stress of running the show can lead to that.

Burt tries to chime in a few times but Frank just talks over him lol

I mentioned it before but there's a difference between "fuck the audience, fuck the show" and "fuck what the audience thinks they want".
The end of the Sopranos was universally hated when it aired, but eventually came to be seen as maybe the best TV ending of all time. Stick to a high-art vision, just keep it unpretentious. I believe Jet is capable, but chooses to fall short out of fear of fucking up. Which ends up fucking it up. Not to be a gay psychoanalyst but that's just a lazy way to feel ownership. Failing your vision while trying hard feels like greatness escaped you, failing while deliberately not trying is technically an achievement. Of mediocrity, but an achievement nonetheless.

But yeah, Frank's thoughts on Sam are 1000% correct, his complaints about concern trolls are 1000% correct. Good takes overall but the show is not dead.

Jet has lightning in a bottle with this whole thing. I just want him to give it his all for a few more seasons before the format dries out.

They jumped in to defend Meiwaku without reading anything. Meiwaku is probably crying in dm chains so her friends are coming in to try and shit up the thread and muddy the waters.

Now that the Dust has settled, I have to say this season was the best in terms of sound and all the technical aspects.
Well done Wiggers.

The cast was great, probably the best of all seasons. Emma was the only real dud.

I am not a big Sam Hyde guy, I like some of his comedy and think that over the years he has become more and more cringe. His current grifting advice Guru arc is embarrassing. That being said, I did notice the lack of his creative input. His ability to make something absurd and artistic did miss this season. There are notably less KINO moments this season and the fish are not pushed hard enough.
This season was far closer to regular streamer stuff than previous seasons. S5 felt closer to Bitchtank than any previous season.

If production would have pressed these fish more like they did in previous seasons, it would have been better.
They ended up making it a peepee poopoo house and had lack of food and sleep. All the shit they realized doesn't make for a fun show.
They decided to become characters on their own show and especially Jet tried to befriend the fish.
Production being antagonistic towards the fish and only ever disingenuous when interacting with them in previous seasons created a great position for them to get the fish off balance.

Not pressing the fish on their little flaws and personal ideals harder was a missed opportunity.

S5 was a technical evolution but a downgrade in how they interact with the fish and run the show.
